My Wife & I stayed here Last week, We found the Hotel is Clean, but rather basic, Staff only came across as " Mediocre " with the exception of BEN who was V. obliging & showed some interested :-). So, For the Price & for business I guess its Ok, But as a Holiday-Experience its certainly Nothing to write home about :-| Oh, forgot to say Brits', do ask for a "water burner" ie Kettle+teabags etc & you will receive ;-)

Hotel rooms very clean and neat, everything worked as it should - the only downside is that they are quite outdated. By this I mean it feels like an 80s bedroom, with pastel pink/green wallpaper and green bathroom fixings.
Breakfast is good, wide range of hot & cold foods on offer in a large dining room.
Location is good too, supermarket nearby and quick drive from the centre.

Very basic hotel which is lacking some of the usually expected amenities. There was no kettle or tea and coffee facilities in the room, which in my experience of travelling around the uk is fairly standard in uk hotels. You could hire one from reception for the duration of your stay but this will cost you a 20 euro deposit. The hotel is also right next to a main motorway so expect some traffic noise at night.

Nice hotel, small but clean room. Very nice reception staff. The hotel need some Reno action, but still is fine for stay. Wide range of food for breakfast. Supermarket very close. Good value for money

We stayed for one night combined with a visit to moviepark Germany. The food was good and the rooms were okay. Not the entire staff spoke English very well though and if they did they still tried to talk German at first. Overall I'm rather satisfied with my stay here.

Everything is so mini compared to America, I guess it is the norm for Europebathroom smells moldy, b/c lack of venting system. If you are a big guy, you might have trouble in the shower, its 2ft x 2ft

Stayed here for five nights for a trade show in Dusseldorf. Even though this hotel has Dusseldorf in its name, don't be fooled. Not only is it over 20km away from the city center, but the only public transportation available is a bus to a train to a subway/streetcar (expect at least 90 minutes, the last 15 of which you will be shoved sardine style into the streetcar, or you can take a 45€ taxi to the trade show. This wouldn't be so bad if they didn't market themselves as a reasonable destination for trade show attendees and exhibitors.

The hotel self reports four stars. I don't know how they came to this conclusion but the rooms aren't much more than bare-boned. The key is, as of late 2016, a physical, actual metal key, attached to a sort of iron ingot looking keychain. Once you open the door, a "queen" room gets you two twin beds that you can push together if you'd like, not that it makes any difference because you'll just fall in the crack anyway. The bed isn't particularly comfy or not, but in apparent German style, the duvet covers are always slightly too small for an adult male. The showers have good water pressure but the bathrooms themselves are in dire need of updating. The flat panel TV is smaller than my budget 27" at-home computer monitor, and it's impossible to view from across the room (I'm slightly myopic but I can watch TV just fine normally).

The included buffet breakfast is pretty good. The food is hot and fresh and there's a decent variety, although it would be nice if they changed it up over the five days. The not included dinner buffet wasn't really worth the ~20€ - I thought most of the food was lacking, and there's essentially an unlimited amount of better German food all throughout Dusseldorf and Mettmann.

The front desk staff is pleasant in a German sort of way, and any questions or concerns I had were answered or fixed quickly.

If for whatever reason you want to stay in Mettmann, and the rate is good, this isn't a bad hotel. I couldn't possibly recommend it for visitors to Düsseldorf, especially if you're visiting the trade fair, no matter the rate.

Nice breakfast and buffet dinner. Drinks are a bit pricey. The rooms are very simple and need updating. Beds are stiff and uncomfortable. Also a bit overpriced for what you get.
