Large and clean room, friendly staff, good breakfast.
I stayed for a couple of days and booked this hotel because everything in the city was full. Travelling to the city in the morning isn't half bad, within 25 minutes you are in Köln Deutz.
The room was pretty large and clean, it's exactly what you would expect for this kind of hotel: nothing fancy but no disappointment either. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast buffet had a good selection of everything.
The only negative point i can find was the wifi which was spotty at times but worked fine otherwise.

If you stay here for cheap, it might be fine, but absolutely not worth anything more than that. I paid a very high rate because Cologne was basically full in every other hotel, and it was a bad choice.

Inconvenient location (unless you are driving), rooms are very hot, though the hot water sometimes isn't, beds are mediocre, the walls are thin, and wifi is spotty at times. Also directly under an aircraft departure lane, if the sound of low flying aircraft bother you. Breakfast seems ok. The "hotel bar" seems completely abandoned and just there so they can check it off on the amenities list. Looked ok in pictures, but

This hotel is not maybe modern or best one, but you pay for what you get. It is nice place to stay for two - three nights. Stuff is very very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is maybe not variable but still it is nice. Internet connection is slow. Especially in the evening when more guests are in but it is free (you have to ask for voucher with password) for unlimited devices. Nearby you can fins supermarket, for more you should go downtown.

Free and very fast WiFi and network access.
Generously spaced room, at least ours was.
Rich and nice breakfast with helpful and friendly personal.
