  Sooooooo beautiful!
  Amazing view. Specially at nights.
  Mostly you can enjoy open air concerts in front of Rathause.
  Rathause is located beside the most famous place "Alster" in center of Hamburg.
  In this area you can find anything you want!

  The Rathaus was absolutely gorgeous, and made all the more beautiful by the Christmas decorations and Christmas market taking place just in front of it.
  It was all lit up at night, even with red lights as santa flew in across the sky over the market.
  Their Christmas market was spectacular, and my favourite one by far in hamburg. Lots of booths, delicious food, and beautiful lights. Don't skip this at Christmas time!

  Wonderful building. Magnificent bold big interiors reminds me french palace from Hausmann time. Gold, marble, priceless wood, crystal chandeliers and big paintings.
  Lady who made English tour was fantastic- relaxed informative and funny! I love staircases and big Festsaal with wooden celling. And so good price - only 4 euros.

  Architecturally, what an amazing building! I wasn't going to visit inside until I read some of the reviews. During the time I was there, I could only see the grand hall and courtyard. Take time and read the information on the wall about city facts and government. Also take a few minutes and sit in the courtyard and enjoy the peacefulness and architecture.

  Definitely have a look there if you want to understand the Hamburg past and present. This is a wonderful historic building with beautiful artwork and intricate carvings throughout.
