The Frankfurt Town Hall Square (Römer) with its City Hall and the typical Hessian half-timbered houses is definitely a must-see for tourists, but also a nice place for locals for a walk. This place is located between the city center with all its shops and the river Main, where you can always enjoy the atmosphere, a nice view to the skyscraper landscape of Frankfurt and a walk along the riverside. Actually most of the buildings have been destroyed during WWII by the RAF and USAAF, but have been restored after the war.
Nice place to drink coffee or have lunch.
Old and modern place to hangout at. The colorful architecture makes you feel that you are not at Frankfurt that you traveled to the medieval age
The central and main area in frankfurt. Has cathedral, city center, many festivals at different times i saw sommerfest. Gauthe house is near and so is the rhein waterfront.
Absolutely love this place. I have been coming here since 1979. Last visit was 2015. So beautiful and historic. Many of the facades were rebuilt after 1945, but it remains a center of German history, dating back to Roman times.
Good place for people who want to sit in some cafe and resterant but not recommand to people who want to see and take photo here. It's not worth for it.
Brilliant building in Frankfurt. Should be on your to see list if you're in the city. Near a underground station.
Lovely place in the city centre, the medioeval hauses were rebuilted but in a way it seems they're real and you can feel the ancient spirit of the place. There are a lot of lovely restaurant nearby and a touris office and gift shops.
