The rooms on the back side of the hotel are less than 20 meters away from the train lines. It was impossible to sleep during the night because of the super loud cargo trains which were flying by the whole night and causing extreme noise and vibrations in the room. Most of the personal I encountered were unfriendly, unprofessional and even rude, especially, the receptionist and restaurant employee. They were not willing to help or answer questions and never greeted. Only the cleaning personal was greeting us. The room is also well below what I expected for this category of hotels and the high price. There was no heating in neither the bedroom nor the bath. Only a few power outlets were available but none close to the bed. A microwave and a stove were not powered and not functional. Also the AC didn't work.
I stayed there only 2 days for vacation with my sport group and we really liked it! It's not that far from Munchen, rooms are quite big and it offers sauna and gym. The only 2 things that could be improved are: 1) The breakfast area is very small and you can find it very crowded sometimes. 2) You have to pay for the park lot because the only other place where you can park is pretty far (if you don't want to park in the NO-parking zone in front of hotel risking a ticket from local police).
Very clean rooms, large bathrooms and generally pleasant rooms. Quite despite the ongoing Oktoberfest, good price for room ratio
A while ago i had to book a room for my visiting friends there and can truly recommend it. Staff is polite and rooms are clean and well equipped. You'll find the U-Bahn connection both to the airport and into the heart of the City right around the corner, and there are other amenities like bakery, grocery, pharmacy and numerous restaurants all within minutes to reach.
Reception was unfriendly. Added extra charges that I shouldn't have had to pay for. Breakfast was mediocre. Room was fairly spacious.
Train passing by your window every 20 min is not good for your sleep. Breakfast ok.
Five minute walk to the S8 Johanneskirchen station, so I'd rate it semi convenient to the city, very convenient to the airport. Room was clean, the soaps were labeled incorrectly but contained the right soaps (thought that was funny). Only complaint is the three days/two nights we were there, the soda machine was out of coke at 3.50€ (0.5L) and the ONLY other place to get it nearby was from the hotel bar at 4.50€. I feel like that was deliberate price gouging. In comparison I got a 1.0L Cola at a shop in the U underground area at Marienplatz for 2.05€.
Nice hotel but quite a distance to Munich Centre. The S8 S-Bahn is right behind the hotel and it can be quite noise when a freight train goes past. Good value but the location is an issue.
Great bar and the hospitality was great. The WiFi worked well and was free. Breakfest was quite tasty as well at the dinner they provided.
Great rooms and experience although it was impossible to find food anywhere in the evening
