Employees are very kind, umbrellas for the guests in good conditions, room always clean and the breakfast is really good!
I was skeptical to see a 3.9 star rating from Google, but was pleasantly surprised to find a large room with a kitchenette. It's located in a very residential neighborhood, but has a grocery store just outside of the door and is a 5-7 minute walk to the train station to city center. The breakfast was just OK, but I can't complain for the convenience.
Nice hotel. Big and comfortable rooms.
I got a room without air conditioning.
More than that, I couldn't get fresh air from outside because there was a plastic cover outside the window.
I had to leave the hotel and I didn't even get my money back.
I was never imagining that this could happen in Germany.
Staff at check-in was very nice and welcoming, room was OK but bathroom shower wasn't perfectly clean. Toilet had some issues with stopping water flow after flushing. I don't like the breakfast because the selection wast great but what bothered me most was the seating. When u arrived, there were no clean tables, I had to scavenger hunt for a knive and for.
My experience in Derag Living hotel is a good one, the hotel staff is 100% professional, kind and in one word amazing! Also the rooms are clean, warm and it feels like home. One remark even though, it would be nice if you add a bread toaster in the breakfast room.
All was good apart from having a room above a smoker. I couldn't open my balcony door until half past one in the morning as I had heavy smokers beneath me and all the smoke went right in my room when I tried to let in some air.
An idea would be to place all smokers on the top floor. Just a thought.
Our 10 day stay at the hotel was wonderful. The hotel staff was very helpful and helped us with a large smile to deal with a very big problem we had. The room was clean, well maintained. The neighborhood was quite. The kitchen in the room and the nearby supermarket helped us to eat what we wanted and when we wanted. The subway is very close.
I spent three weeks in Munich this June, and my stay at this Derag hotel was great. The small kitchenette was very useful in making most of my own meals. It was a 7 minute walk to the nearest U-Bahn station- the subway system will get you anywhere you could need to go. A grocery store, literally right outside the front of the hotel, was also quite convenient.
The staff at the front desk were very kind, helpful, and courteous, and speak English in case, like me, your German is quite limited. I made use of the laundry room, and even the fitness room, so some nice amenities are there if you need them. My room had a small balcony, which was great. I kept that door open most of the time. Keep in mind, most hotels have no AC in Europe. Would definitely recommend.
