My family of 3 was touring with a group for 16 days. Of all the hotels we had stayed, the room was the tiniest! All the other hotels gave us a bigger room but Leanardo Royal set us up in a normal room with an extra bed. With our luggage in the room, we could hardly move around. House keeping missed tidying our room next day. I had to called them in late afternoon and stood outside waiting for them to do the job, while I was tired and eager to have a shower!
Rooms were very comfortable, quiet, everything clean and neat.
However, also areas to improve: Parking ticket terminal on level -2 WITHOUT cash-return or credit card payment function is a No-Go! Needed to go back to the lobby to pay the parking.
In general, parking appears over charged considering the room rates and the lack of outside parking lots.
Breakfast buffet over-charged - many people don't eat such much for breakfast. Variety of breakfast dishes in the bar is low. However, we liked the fruit salad there.
Pulled pork burger in the bar was acceptable but not a delight (not really hot, fries not crispy, not much meat in it).
I was extremely sick because of receiving gluten in a room service order, even though I told them I was a Celiac. I was given another meal and told by the night manager that I would have the bill reversed. That has not been done. I was also told again the next morning by the manager that I would have the bill reversed and also would have the room bill reserved. That has not happened.
The bed was made with 2 sheets, since 1 would not have fit. That created a rubbing feeling across my legs, very unacceptable for a 4 star hotel.
I have never been treated so poorly by a 4 star hotel. I explained this to BMW, since this hotel was listed on their European Delivery information.
Because of your treatment of me, my BMW delivery day, which should have been a wonderful experience, was one in which I was sick and had had no sleep.
ideal for business travellers, definitely not recommended for families.
We had a difficult night out there;
Cons
* Room was small. We had a cot bed in the room and there was almost no area to walk at all with the cot bed in.
* Bathroom door was a sliding door with semi transparent glass with no lock
* shower room door didn't seal properly as a lot of water seeped out and caused a mess
* we had food at the restaurant and in the pasta that my wife tried, there were pieces of plastic
* breakfast albeit buffet - we felt is overpriced at EUR15
* car parking isn't free as you have to be prepared to shell out an additional EUR17.
* unlike other hotels, if you order room service, an extra EUR5 has to be paid on top of what you order.
Pros
* Staff were good, acted in pleasing and friendly way.
* Nice reception, lobby
* good ambience in restaurant. Albeit my wife's food was bad, I had sea food and was delicious and no faults found
* Bed is spacious and comfy
* Wifi - works simply and for free in reception and within the room
* TV - good to see a lot of channels.
I stayed here for business. The rooms are comfortable, and the front desk staff are friendly and helpful. They let me check in early, after arriving on a red-eye, and in doing so earned my eternal gratitude. The hotel restaurant is fantastic, which was a very welcome surprise. The food is exceptionally good, and the waiters know their stuff. Highly rated all around.
Conveniently located near the subway, you can just experience the da Vinci touch.
Great Service, Great Food
Nice rooms & Good service. Near to metro station for easy access.
Perfect service, nice staff, good food. The hotel is very beautiful
They encourage you to join Advantage Club asked for the late check out, which is part of the membership and of course it was not available. They were quite happy to charge for the facility but not available for free. There was no reason given as to why I was not able to get. So as usual next time I'm in Munich I will be staying at the Hilton. The Hilton can't be matched for customer service.
