"Tricky profile photo. Poor experience."

Let's start with the food things: room was big. Beds were confortable. Shower was excellent. Breakfast was fantastic.

I am giving this place just two stars cause we have a poor experience and i believe their profile photo is not honest.

Notice that the main photo of the place is TRICKY. You can see the lake from pretty much nowhere from the hotel. Notice that there is a pretty busy two ways road between the hotel and the lake and it is impossible to access to the lake walking since lots are private. actually you can not see the lake from most places of the hotel. We asked at the reception and explained us to ride to the village to have access to the lake!

Careless staff. Kitchen closed by 8:00pm left us (and other guesses) without dinner. We have a drink at the restaurant and we have to drink it quickly cause the restaurant was closing (around 9pm). We end up going back to the village for a quick dinner. When we came back nobody was at the reception and entrance door was locked! We did not know what to do since there was no info or bell at the door. In the darkness we managed to find an entrance at the back of the building.

This hotel is in a super beautiful scenery: close to a lake and immersed within green fields. The facilities unfortunately are not really great and are more those of a 3 stars rather than 4 stars hotel (bed not very comfortable, small tv, simple decoration). Wifi is not always working. Breakfast is ok but nothing super.

The rooms are well appointed and have the warmth of a bed and breakfast. It feels personal. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is a great place to stay and visit the castles if you enjoy quiet and a scenic view. The food here is also excellent. Parking is plentiful, free and easy.

3 Words: Pretty damn awesome!
Martin is such a nice dude and a working non-stop to make you wish you could live there forever! He's cracking jokes while checking you in at midnight and will be greeting you at the breakfast buffet as you try to get an early start.
The food is simple, hearty and tasty with a lot of meat. Piles of meat!

Cons:
- Not a lot of options for vegetarians

Our stay was wonderful. The views from the room were worth the cost of the room, the castles, the lake and the cows grazing. Their bells welcomed us into the day. The food was very good and the staff was welcoming. It was a great respite from the rest of our vacation.
