Nice rooms and also sauna, rainshower and stream bath in basement.
Ok restaurant for breakfast and dinner with schnitzel-night every Wednesday.
Close to roads and tracks for running/walking in the hills.
Just 10 min walk from the NATO-School.
Much space for parking the cars.

We went there by chance. The food was amazing and tasted so different than the food we usually eat in Munich. The staff was very friendly and the view from the restaurant was pretty scenic.

the hotel is mediocre, but dont you dare to complain about the food or anything else. the boss is incapable of handling any form of criticism. he's rude and choleric; thats not how you interact with guests or customers. as long as this guy isnt retired, i wont check in there ever again.

I am not a person that usually complains online, but I feel compelled to give you all fair warning. We have been going to this restaurant for over two years and have had great meals and times where we never actually receiver our food. Tonight we had a piece of Schnitzel that just didn't taste right. My wife had a couple of bites and then asked me to try it. I did and noted that it did not taste right. My Schnitzel was perfectly fine, but hers really tasted off. In any restaurant in North America this would be handled with care and understanding. However, at the Arnika restaurant in Oberammergau be ready to brace for an assault from the Chef. After sending the dish back the chef came out and basically dropped the plate back on the table and insisted that everything was fine and that she should eat it. Lesson Learned - If you have an issue with your meal - just shut up and eat it! The Chef knows best!!!

This place was awesome. Great view and nicely located to Garmisch. The breakfast was great and it was included with the room cost. One of the best croissants I have ever had. They have a Biergarten on site so you can partake and stumble back to your room. While I think you can get schnitzel every night Wednesday night is schnitzel night. So they offer a pretty good deal then.
