Catastrophic. It was just the worse restaurant ever. Stay away. First we asked for a fish soup, that tasted like a pumpkin Soup (with no fish parts in it). After asking the waitress if there has been a mistake, she looked totally annoyed and ignored our call. Well, it was Trouts time in the area, so we had trouts. You expect, especially by asking an entrance meal, that the main dishes would come together, so that one doesn´t have to look the other eat, nor have to wait the food get cold, but yeah, exactly what happened, because it took like 20 minutes between the meals got to the table. No info from the waitress, nor apologies for the waiting time. Fish was cooked without any taste. When we were finished, the Waitress simply vanished for like half an hour. Some costumers, that entered the room, left again without being served. When she finally showed up, we (still in a good mood), asked very politely for the bill. Which took another 25 minutes to arrive at our table. When I asked to pay by Debit Card (EC Karte), the waitress forced me to give her a tip, which on that time I of course refused. She then told me that I have to pick up money at the bank outside the house, incredible. At the end, when we asked to speak with the manager, only the main cook was around, which totally ignored our constructive complains. We were baffled that such a terrible service can still exist in our time. Please avoid this one at all costs.

Economy rooms are small and dark so you'll need to upgrade to get views and comfort.

Really enjoyed the experience. Pretty awesome staying in building over 500 years old! Comfortable room, excellent food and service. Love the sweet staircase - beautiful wood with wide stairs that lean a little, but that is the charm. This place has character. The owner, Bernd Ollman runs a delightful establishment

Absolutely loved this Hotel. The location perfect and the Manager was extraordinarily helpful - which I had read on reviews and proved to be so true!! Really very well situated and comfortable! Most enjoyable and very pleasant stay!

Very nice place. I've been guest in this hotel in May 2015. Large rooms, very nice breakfest, all casual. A little tricky to comunicate in English, but the host family that manages the place is very kind and helpful.

Helpful people, beautiful old building, good restaurant. 6 o'clock church bell in morning was louder than expected but it was ok for me cause it reminded i was in old European city.
