I recommend a walk there if the weather is nice and you happen to be in the neighbourhood. Although there are some good artworks, most are rather trivial and you have to walk quite along stretch. I wouldn't bother going there only for the art, especially in bad weather.

Great free walk rich of urban culture. Its the largest remaining part of the Berlin Wall. I really liked this place and you can meet a lot of tourists. Many bars nearby.

The East Side Gallery is one of the last bits of Berlin Wall that is still intact. 1300 metres to be exact. This 1300 meter piece of wall has been used as object for graffiti art. While one side of the wall features famous artwork, the other side features some information about the Berlin Wall and more.
The neighbourhood around the wall isn't that interesting but the wall itself should be interesting enough. I walked next to the wall and was mostly focused on the artwork, some of it very interesting and some of it less interesting. Be aware that taking a picture of a bit of wall might be a bit difficult, as it's usually somewhat crowded.
The East side gallery is easy to reach. I was able to walk from one to the other metro station via the East Side Gallery.response / report this review -

Amazing artwork and home to more than just the famous gallery pieces. Graffiti legends Cope and Scan (RIP) have pieced on the opposite side of the wall, which I hope are not painted over and taken down! A bit disappointing, however, are the luxury condos built right in the middle of the gallery, which necessitated taking down a portion of the wall / gallery in order to make a driveway! A real shame, especially since most Germans living in the east side cannot afford them, while watching such a historic landmark get destroyed to accommodate wealthy individuals who hardly stay there for more than a few weeks at a time. But I digress - the gallery is amazing and well worth the visit!!

The longest remaining stretch of the Berlin Wall has become a Mecca for some truly excellent artwork. There is a metro stop nearby so it’s easily accessible and there are also restaurants and bars in the area for you to stop for a spot of lunch. Be warned that some pieces of art are much more famous than others, so there will be large crowds around particular areas of the wall - don’t let this put you off though, as the crowds soon pass once they’ve taken their pictures, and the entire wall features some fantastic art that is well worth seeing.

Such CA cool use of the wall and the artwork is fantastic. Highly recommended for tourists looking for something unusual and unique to Berlin.

A cool outdoor piece of art, but unfortunately only a few of the murals were that interesting or preserved as they should. Still, it's considered to be an iconic monument.

There's an interesting mix of professional artwork, and sloppy graffiti. It's really a shame where they overlap and impressive works of art are tagged by narcissistic amateurs. Plus, the wire fencing covering most of it (presumably to protect it from the aforementioned vandalism) ends up being an eyesore in most of the photos you'd take of the images. Overall it is worth seeing because of the cultural significance, but you'll learn more from the museum itself.

Go see it before it disappear. There is so much construction going on I can't see the wall lasting for much longer. Seems like it's taking valuable real estate. There is of course lots of history there. It's easy to get to. The adjacent river offers a nice stroll. You can pretty much squeeze this in within an hour including commute. There aren't many awful tourist shops around like check point Charlie which is nice.
