If you're into books like I am, this is paradise. There is a huge German selection, but also a very decent English bookshop where you can find classics and new editions. There's something for everyone here. Also, it is open until quite late.

A huge books and DVD store, good prices, nice service, friendly staff.. You can have a very wide choices to buy books written by many languages, very multiple kinds.

A very versatile bookstore. Downstairs there is a good music department. I found Wagner's Parsifal opera in DVD format. David Barenboim is the conductor of the orchestra. This was important to me.

Great place! If you love books, this is the place for you. Here you can find books of all sorts. There is also an English bookshop inside. Here you can sit down and read some pages in a comfy and warm atmosphere. Super assortment of books for people who are learning new languages and need to practice.

The most beautiful book shop I know of in the world.
An adventure, a great pleasure, a wonderful and relaxing atmosphere, a gigantic selection of books, as well as the opportunity to read as long and as much as you like sitting at a table or comfortable armchair.
A must-go for any book lover! 😊

Books, books, books, books, books, books, and more books. Everyone who likes to read will find something (as will those who don't). I particularly liked the range of design and photography books. Was thinking about giving only four stars, because the sheer amount and variety of books (and other media) makes it very hard not to spend several hours in their shop.

Heaven for book lovers. Great selection of new releases as well as some more esoteric volumes available for purchase. Huge German language section, where you will be able to buy your Sprachschule books for almost any course in Berlin. Nice selection of art and travel books. If you are someone who loves bookstores then Dussmann is a must visit. Any Americans or Brits will immediately feel at home here as it seems to be modeled in the style of large Barnes & Noble shops in major cities.

The best English book store in Berlin. The Dussmann House has a huge bookstore inside covering all genres in German. The reason why I visit this place though is the English book store. It is a two level store offering all sorts of genres. Inside you will find cozy reading corners where you can sit to get to know all the books a bit better. In the building you will also find a cafe where you can relax over a drink after doing your book shopping.
