A must visit place in Berlin! Personally, my favourite in Berlin! I always come back here when visiting Berlin! The charm of this place is its historical spirit! In cold modern Berlin this place is true treasure. The entrance is free, the descriptions, and informations are available. The outside have marks of history worth seeing. The light at night makes this place unforgettable! In the winter, there is a Crismas market and in summer people here sell very delicios strawberries!

A great place to visit when in Berlin.
Around the church in December is a fantastic Christmas Market.
Sadly the "tower" containing the bells is scaffolded but the smaller hexagonal building is beautifully lit at night.
If you are in the locality during the day you should hear the bells. The sound is magnificent.
Not far from the Zoological Gardens and a subway station of the same name.
Easy to get to and well worth the visit.response / report this review -

A lesson from history point of view. Great place to take young kids there and explain about what war can bring to mankind. It's very educational.

Beautifully maintained ruins in the original church and gorgeous use of light in the new Chapel. Open to public for free during non service hours. Highly recommended to visit.

Really amazing church! free to go in and the inside is almost more incredible than the outside! The mosaics on the ceiling (or sadly the ones that survive) are simply incredible as well as a short history of the church with tons of info and nice before and after scale models! Definitely a must visit.

Awesome place, Berlin installed few barriers in order to protect the people, an police info van is also present there. An must visit!

It is a very beautiful church that was bombed on WWII and kept this way so people always remember their mistakes and never do it again. What is remained is a very small part, but outside and inside are extremely beautiful. Also all the stories around it are very touching.

Beautiful remains of the old church. Only a pity that the new architecture next to it are terribly ugly. Definitely impressive.

A really interesting bit of architecture left over from the war and given an even more poinent meaning after the Christmas market attack. Worth a visit just to think about all the history that's happened here.
