We got a comfort site at the bank of the stream. Well worth the extra few euros as it made my day hearing the stream and being so close to the water.
The garbage system is user unfriendly and there were some issues with the electrivity where one faulty cable of one caravan caused the whole campsite to be without power.
The area is beautiful and nice walking directly from the campsite.response / report this review -

Really disappointed. Only stayed one night. It's really expensive for what it is, not sure if caravans pay more but for one small tent, 2 people and a car for a night it was about £20! Plus camping field doesn't have electric and isn't next to the lovely river, as other people have reviewed, it's next to a busy road and train line. Unhelpful woman at reception didn't tell us that we had to pay for hot water for dishes, and had closed the office not long after we arrived so we couldn't get change. The bin for general waste was padlocked shut for no reason and they don't allow glass recycling. No idea why either. You have to drive it down the road. Stunning views though and showers were hot, clean and free!

My wife and I arrived on the camp site on Monday, may 29th 2017, family run site owners nice people, we have had no problems at all, we are here for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks all good. Food shopping very close,Good walking, our labrador in the river every day. Very good site for visiting this area. I only wish it was closer to our home.

Bei telefonischer Anfrage nach einem Stellplatz wurde ich unfreundlich abgebügelt. Es gäbe keinen Lageplan, und ich solle eine E-Mail schreiben, wenn ich reservieren wolle. Ich könne ja angeben, ob ich Sonne, Schatten oder Bachnähe haben wolle. Nicht mal Tipps oder eine Beschreibung des Geländes ließ die Dame sich entlocken. Kundenfreundlichkeit geht anders! Hier fahren wir auf keinen Fall hin!

Nice location and pitches by the river. Clean facilities. Pay extra for wifi and hot water for dishes. Very unfriendly lady at the reception.

Guter Campingplatz am Fuße der "schlafenden Hexe".
Sauber und gepflegt, schöne Plätze auf der unteren Ebene, teilweise direkt am Bach. Die Ausstattung kann zwar nicht mit den größeren Plätzen mithalten, ist aber ausreichend. Von hier ist man schnell an den verschiedenen Wanderrouten, die zum Rotofen geht direkt am Platz los.
Einkaufszentrum in 15 min. fußläufig erreichbar.response / report this review -

Toller Campingplatz zwischen Berchtesgaden u Bad Reichenhall. Idealer Standort für Tagestouren. Wandern, Auto oder Bus (Haltestelle ca. 100 m). Großes Einkaufszentrum ca. 750 m. Saubere sanitäre Anlagen. Sehr nette u hilfsbereite Campingplatzbetreiber. Ich fahre jedes Jahr mindestens einmal auf diesen Campingplatz. Auch dieses Jahr bin ich wieder 2x dort.

Terrible!!! Does not like the english people at all, WiFi network only works if you are within 20mtrs of the main building and this is charged by the hourand thats a rip off at 7.50 euros for 2 hours.
If it rains you need to make sure your tent is on a high point of the camping field or you are going to be bogged down or floating away!
