Konigsee is a truly wonderful place to visit and in doing so what a great campsite Campingplatz Grafenlehen is. The staff are very friendly and helpful along with a spotlessly clean and well run site. It's also in a great location within close walking distance to the lake itself which is the real attraction as this is one of my all time favourite places to visit in Europe.
Owner told us a day in advance there would be plenty of room, but on arrival there was hardly any place. No cooperation whatsoever from the owner. The designated place for tents is away from the main camping. Construction going on next to the to the campsite in addition to pretty wild, loud water that would keep anyone awake. Choose the other campsite nearby!
A wonderful camping site very close to the beautiful lake. A stream passes by right next to the camp and the gushing sounds still echo in my ears. Huge place which can accommodate many caravans, campers and tents. Quite easy check in and check out.we stayed there for 3 days in our tent. The toilets and showers are very good. You also get a guest card that can be used in buses for free transport from one place to another in the region. Highly recommend.
Great location, short distance to the Königsee. Overall, standard camp site with restrooms, washing machines, etc. However the water pressure in the showers is extremely high, I'm sure they've consulted the G20 police on what pressure they use to scare off demonstrators, because it feels like torture to take a shower there.
Location again is a big 5 stars, as you are surrounded by the Alps and in walking/ cycling distance from shops and a beautiful lake. On the down side it's very expensive for what it is. We paid over 85 euros for 3 nights for 2 people, tent, car and electric. Also be sure to check the cost of your stay with receptionist first. We made this mistake as had been driving all day, and just wanted to get set up. Then when it came to setteling up the cost was alot different to that on website! Showers were also a let down. No head on them and it stung you when you got under due to pressure of the water, wasn't enough showers for people so you had to sue at times. I've also never known showers to have closing times either at campsites well these shut at 11pm. Other than that staff were pleasant.
Very nice host and also clean people are also cool. Id like to come again
Great campground by a creek in the mountains. We tent camped and had an electric hook up. They also have a restaurant/ bar there.
Great camping near to the beautiful Konigsee. We did the boat trip. Excellent. The campzite is a good camp. Showers and toilet clean, great little restaurant.
Great spot, amazing river, young family friendly, quiet and lovely staff. Clean and spacious plot for motor homes. May 2016
An unassuming, no-pretense, down-to-earth kind of place. Not too expensive. Gorgeous views. And yes, PLEASE, stop advertising Hitler's Alpine retreat as a tourist sight. Did not go there. Simply bad taste. The lakes around (Koening, Hinter) beautiful, though.
