Great campsite we got a perfect pitch 601 with awesome view of the lake.
Our camping spots were not really camping spots but parking places of permanent residence. Where you could not setup a tent because of all the stones and we had to borrow the electricity from a neighbor.
Super busy, expensive camping, the lake next to the camping isn't special at all. The facilities are good and the camping is huge, and also has a bar and restaurant. There's a bus stop next to the camping which can bring you to the castle and city, so that's super!
For a stop to travel further perfect, but I wouldn't stay here for a long time.
Big campground with good amanities. Tent camping wasn't the nicest though. Crowded, not defined camp spaces, so you just basically park and pitch tent within designed area but your neighbors can be very close. Bathrooms and showers were nice and clean, with washing and drying room and dishwashing room. Overall this seems to be built primary for RV campers.
Local restaurant had live bands on weekend nights what is pretty fun. And local campground store is well equipped plus fresh baked rolls and bread, baked right on the spot is very pleasant start of the day. Neuschwanstein Castle is 5 minute car ride away and possible to bike to it too.
We paid around 33€ for 2ppl with small tent and a car for a night.
Awesome place with great view. Has slots for RVs and tents. You can camp right on the lakefront. Its about 10 min. drive from the Neuschwanstein castle, and 5 min. drive to Rewe a grocery store. Has a cool playground for kids with zip lines etc., it also has a reasonable priced bike and peddle car rental. Bathrooms are clean, it also had showers.
Expensive and very noisy. Reservation system is very expensive and you don't get the spot you asked for. The lake is nice though
Nice campsite if rather large, but that's perhaps to be expected given the location and the popularity of the area. Situated close to a lake with amazing views. Good entertainment at night and there is a haute cuisine restaurant offering very good food and beer. This main restaurant is very popular so it's bet to make a reservation. The main entertainment hall offers snacks and beer [there is a deposit for the glass which you get back after handing back the glass]. No pool but there is a children's play area. Toilet facilities and showers in several parts of the site which are kept quite clean. Close to Neuschwanstein Castle and on showing card issued at the campsite you'll get a €1 reduction. A nice stay in general.
Good place to cover this part of Bavaria. Very near to Neuschwanstein and perfect for our onward journey to Austria. The site rent pedal board so you can go into the lake for peace and just look at the scenery. Nice on-site good facilities.
We arrived by chance late at night. We were given a pitch by the river for one night and joined the festivities in the bar. It is very big but we really liked it
