We stayed here in 2014( better late then never) and it is a great campsite with spectacular views. Showers are excellent as are the staff. We were in a camper and our pitch was good. It was busy and I would suggest reservation in advance or get there in the morning.

If you have a good camera lens you could get some great night photos of the castles nearby.

Incredible site. Location is stunning with mountain and lakeside views. The facilities are first class, with showers, washing up and the usual suspects some of the best ever (there's even a dog washing station). The reception team were really helpful - they don't take bookings / reservations for less than four nights, but if you turn up they do their level best to help (and speak English for us anglophones).

We've loved exploring the area nearby, and again the site comes up trumps. It's a short bike ride to the Neuschwanstein and Hochschwanstein castles. And a short ride to the Tegelbergbahn cable car. We were worried how we were going to get around, but bikes are perfect for these trips as the cycle ways are well marked, traffic free and quite level. Better still the site has bikes for hire, and at decent rates (including children's bikes).

Finally, there's a shop and restaurant on site. The shop has a decent selection of stuff, but the biggest plus is breakfast, where you can order your selection the day before. Only thing to watch is that the shop closes at 5pm (at least it did at Easter when we visited).

Overall, is an amazing site in an incredible location. We could have happily stayed for weeks.

Nice location on the lake, perfect for walking and swimming and getting lost in thought. Restaurant serves typical German food and the convenience store is well stocked. Reservations are recommended in the summer, even if you have just one tent and a motorcycle.

Got to be near perfect campsite. If you've teenage kids they may prefer somewhere with better WiFi but if you like to be outdoors, walking, cycling, relaxing it's perfect. 5 star shower block is awesome!

We had a wonderful stay at this clean and well run site. Facilities are 1st class.Would gladly recommend this site to anyone. The only problem was poor wi fi due to a technical problem.
