Hotel was clean and rooms were large for European Standards. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room interiors were a little out dated but overall our experience was very positive.

Rooms are pretty large, clean but also out of date. Never the less the rooms are not worren out and are large enough, especially the bathroom is spacious, plus one gets a bathtub! Overall for a night and for 60 something Euros it is good enough.
And one the plus side it looks very accessable for disabled people.
p.s over a night my room got pretty dusty.

The shower stays cold in the evening, only after 15 minutes it gets hotter. WLAN is not capable of the number of guests, so the speed is pretty low. Breakfast and noise in the rooms is good. Mexican restaurant next to the hotel.

Edit: Stayed some days more, the overall feeling was then pretty good (except the shower). On Wednesdays and Saturdays you'll get All-You-Can-Eat BBQ for 13,90€ directly in the Hotel. Loved it!

Good location and quiet. Close by car to Berlin. Tram stops just 50m away. Good breakfast.

I have been residing in that place as 'veteran' guest in the last some twenty months with great satisfaction with one central reservation: service attitude of certain staff members greatly leaves to be desired. That escaled into a conflicht around early summer 2016, when one staff member declined storage of a bulky luggage peace just for TWO DAYS. Manager on duty Christian Holtz -Teichmann choose not to intervene to fix this issue. It was very embarassing being humiliated by a manager, who should honour having a guest as 'veteran'.
When I recently requested for reservation of my favorate room nr. 407, the latter declined, claiming I would have left the room in untidy condition. Of course, no apology for the recent mishap! Rather a transparent act of retaliation against somebody who had been challenging the managers (in)competence.
The bottom line is: guests are well adviced not to expect courtesy and flexibility from that staff member. The trouble with the industry of East German accomodation in general is: responsibles still tend to act in the spirit of former DDR - humiliation in lieu of cooperation and customer service.

Very large rooms, relatively quiet but not premium location, handicap friendly. Little bit too expensive for what it has to offer.
