Very nice, on Sunday's afternoon a little bit crowded and messy. Good place for families with small children. Clean bathrooms. In the cafe some snacks - but not big choice.
Nice but not amazing. I can only recommend coming here if you purchase a combined ticket with the zoo. It is small but the animals are very well taken care of.
I give the aquarium in Okinawa 5 stars and this one deserves 1 star or less.
It has 3 floors and only the ground floor is a real aquarium. The other 2 floors are with insects and reptiles that should belong to a ZOO.
They should not name it “aquarium”, just let it be a part of the zoo.
This place is more than just an aquarium, or less than you might expect. More: apart from the beautiful and informative aquarium on the ground floor, it hosts a reptile terrarium and open space for caimen, tortoises, ants and bees upstairs. Less: It is a pleasant and educational place, but kids > 10 might expect more action.
Very good aquarium. Well kept tanks and lots of animals. Good descriptions and a nice thing is: They're not trying to shove tons of plastic and merchandise down your neck. Thumbs up!
Definitely buy the combo ticket. The zoo is better but the aquarium was good. Its no Monterey Bay Aquarium or Georgia Aquarium heck its not even as good as the New England Aquarium.
If you want to have fun with your kids age 2 upwards for 2-3 h on a rainy day - that's the place
It's not huge but has a lot of different species of fishes, reptiles, insects and spiders. Really cool
A very nice place to go, you should only plan about one and a half hours in unless you go through it twice, which is possible(having done it myself). When you go don't expect massive tanks with awesome views like in other aquariums. It has more medium sized aquariums and small ones. Even though the tanks are smaller sized they have a lot of shark species. There are 8 species in total. Most do not require to move to get oxygen which allows them to be kept in smaller tanks.
In the middle there is a big crocodile hall in which they have 3 indian gavials. The three females are about 15 feet each. There is also a underwater view above where the koi touch area is.
The upper floors are the insects, reptiles and amphibians.
Would definetly recommend going here on a sunny or week day, otherwise it is very, very crowded but still nice. If you don't spend too much time there i recommend getting a zoo and aquarium pass which allows you to do both.
Fun for kids and lots to know for adults. Good to go with kids. No automatic button for the entrance of the toilet, quite difficult to get in while pushing a buggy.
