Actually I was afriad of booking at this hostel because of some reviews I had read before, nevertheless I found it really good, has a central location, rooms are clean and the bathroom as well. However you have to bring your bed sheets because it costs extra €3.5 and paying with your visa will cost extra €2.5. It is allowed to bring your dog for €5 per night, I ven't tried tge breakfast yet so I can't judge now. late check out is allowed as well for €10. Unfortunately they fon't have sky sports in the lobby but free wifi everywhere.
This place is not good. Staff is really rude and do not care if you have a problem or not. Do not recommend it.
Nice hotel were all was prepared to be cheap.
And it is, you get what you paid for and no extras: Seems like the staff in the counter is all the staff in the house. All is paid at check-in time. Clean rooms but no cleaning while you are here. No phone or wake up service, room is IKEA style. No room service, no fridge, no water in the room.
There are private and shared rooms. Rooms have a small table, enough to work. Internet is not fantastic but acceptable.
The counter is in a big multipurpose room: Bar, snacks, snooker, sofas, tv, music, area were you can work A mess.
Breakfast is poor. Unless you need "all you can eat", you will be better served in one of the coffees around.
Walking distance to Königsallee.
I have been here more than once, and will be back.
I stayed 3 nights in the room 0020 - which is wayyy to big. The facilities are clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. After the first night I got more a hotel experience rather than a hostel. The city is nice and really definitely worth to visit. I enjoyed my stay!
I stayed only one night here, if you are looking for a cheap hostel, it is a great place. Clean and well maintained.
Need to pay extra for linen, but if you carry a sleeping bag you can use it.
Only thing we missed was a common kitchen, but overall a satisfying experience.
The staff are friendly and helpful! Enjoy your stay if you choose A&O
Great hotel. The staff members didn't bother us. The bedrooms were nice but a bit small. The food was better than expected.
Clean and quiet rooms with a 24 hour reception and snacks and drinks available in the lobby area
Check-in and check-out without a problem or waiting time.
Room was big enough, clean and good equipped. Wifi worked perfectly in the room and in the lobby.
Beds were comfortable. Shower and toilet worked perfectly.
Breakfast was great. Enough choice, good and fresh quality, always enough available. They even had chocolade milk for my son.
Staff at reception and in the breakfast area was very friendly and helpful. Always smiling and immediately standing by for questions.
In the lobby is also a bar with drinks, snacks and a wide range of ice-creams. Furthermore the lobby is equipped with a pool table, table football and comfortable sitting area to relax.
I truly recommend this hotel!
Great location, fantastic service and good value. You can't go wrong booking a night or two here to visit this incredible city.
Although the hostel/hotel is centrally located, it does not really hold true to the hostel nature. A hostel should be a place for many travelers to gather and meet other travelers, but this hostel/hotel acted as mostly just a hotel. The beds are not comfortable, you are charged for every aspect of your stay (ie. towel, linen, etc) and the lobby bar prices are crazy for a hostel. For example, you can buy a Heineken 1 block away for 1 € or buy one at the bar for 3 €. Yes, it is a convenience aspect, but a hostel bar should offer cheap beverages to encourage gatherings.
The main reason I gave the A & O Dusseldorf a 4 star review, the staff. Every team member at reception was friendly and every person encountered in the halls had a smile. They are AMAZING!
