Location is fantastic. Lobby, restaurant and courtyard are beautiful. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful. My only complaint was the room was too warm and there was no way to make it cooler.

Unquestionably a first class hotel in every respect. A new restaurant has been opened and the food is excellent. Location is just off the Old Market Square. Our second stay here - a sure sign that it is very good.

Went to the bar/restaurant to grab a bite at rather late hour (10pm). Service was very friendly, prices were very inexpensive, the wait for food was medium and even a piano player was present. We likes our short stay here.

A nice place to stay in Prague. Iron gate have big & clean rooms, jaccuzi in some suites and so gentle staff. Deer Restaurant inside the hotel is a lovely place where we can eat for dinner (approx. 50€ for 2 guest). Dishes are well presented and very tasty.
Hotel & Restaurant staff was very helpful when I cut my finger with a knife, they organize my transportation to hospital and stay with me all the time. They helped to translate and make my stay good. I warmly recommend this place to stay and to eat.
This place is next the astronomic clock and you can visit old Prague by foot.response / report this review -

Nice hotel. Has been awarded 5 star rating, more like a 4 star to me. It is Worth the Price we payed so i would still recommend it to others. We had a junior suite and there was small things that needed repair, but nothing serious. The restaurant is good and cheap, even in a late roomservice situation. All in all, i would be back any day.

Great location!!! 1 minute walk from the astronomical clock. Rooms are spacious, cozy and luxurious, breakfast has a gear veriaty to select from, staff is friendly and informative. We had a really good time here.

Helpful staff, GORGEOUS and well appointed room, awesome room service breakfast each morning, awesome location. I highly recommend this hotel for not only fantastic value, but a great experience. We stayed at the hotel for a week, in the Iron Gate Suite and we're impressed with the housekeeping and gorgeous suite. Two bathrooms and living areas certainly made our week stay a stress free and comfortable one. I had pre-arranged chocolates, champagne, a fresh fruit platter and rose petals on the bed, as it is our anniversary, and they were happy to help out and exceeded my expectations. My boyfriend is usually the one to book our stays (he is very fussy on cleanliness and new rooms), but I wanted to do something special, and we are both blown away. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful, and going above and beyond with tending to our every need. We will recommend to friends and family & will be back again ourselves!

I found this hotel just randomly searching the internet and could not be happier. My significant other was VERY pleased that she got to spend her first night in Prague, also her birthday, in such a beautiful hotel and perfect central location.
Our travels had us staying here first and then at another hotel that wasn't in downtown. For our last night we decided to come back to the Iron Gate so we got a change to see a second, upgraded room (thanks for the wonderful staff!). Both rooms were beautifully decorated, extremely clean, with all the little things you'd expect. The four poster bed and painted ceiling in the first room really stood out. The second, upgraded suite, with Jacuzzi, larger sitting area, and artwork was really appreciated as well.
Location: I don't know that you could be any better located than this hotel Okay, there's a lot of other hotels very close as well but for the quality and price I don't think there is any comparison. Most important of all, it is literally steps away from my favorite bar in Prague, Anonymous!!!
When we go back to Prague next year we're just going to stay the entire time in the Iron Gate.response / report this review -

Rooms are very nice but they don't give you a 5-star feeling. Breakfast service is the same as you get in a 3-star hotel, even some hostels offer this kind of breakfast. Bathrooms are definitely not a 5-star standard. Staff are nice and friendly but they don't make the hotel 5 stars

Great place in the heart of Prague. Convenient walk to anywhere in the old town. Very nice staff. Can't speak to breakfast because I slept in.
As an American though you need to remember that a 5-Starred hotel isn't the same as a 5 starred hotel in the States that's reserved for the likes of a Ritz, Waldorf and the like.response / report this review
