Excellent hotel within walking distance to 'everything'. Sauna and a decent pool for relaxing. Parking a problem but perhaps no fault of the hotel.

Foreword: Don’t make a mistake to think that I have been just unlucky or pretentious.
I am a Best Western employee in a 4 star Plus hotel in Rome, so I was really hesitant to make this review; they are colleagues, but my sense of duty pushed me to do it.
We arrived at this hotel on 10/11/17, at check-in the Receptionist welcomes us professionally confirming that the room was already paid, showing us the hotel amenities. They gave us room 309, since we asked for a room located at the high floor and without carpet.
Unfortunately when I went to bed I found out that the mattress was BROKEN!! I could not believe in a BW PLUS !!! In the morning I spoke to the secretary of Reception who replied: "What, sorry"?
What does it means?! There is an hole in the mattress! They tell me "Ok, we change the room"; then I asked for a king bed room, hoping it would be bigger than the previous one, since it was a French room.
They didn’t apologize for the inconvenience. They showed me a non-refurbished room with carpet (402).
We accepted it, just because it was already cleaned; I checked the towel warmer in the bathroom, and it didn’t work, so I reported that at the Reception Desk.
Later that day nothing changed: the towel warmer was still broken.
I called the Reception and they told me that shortly someone will come to help us. Someone arrived with a DE LONGHI warmer !!! I almost start to laugh and I said “OK Thank you so much” !!!
In the afternoon I would have liked to have a cup of tea ‘cos was a cold day, but there weren’t tea bags: so I called the Reception again and they sent up someone. A lady arrived saying: "But how can it be! Don’t you see the tea? Is right there!?"
I didn’t replay disrespectfully, I just told her that unfortunately those things were herbs and coffee but not the tea.
The next day on my return, it was a cold day, I was going to switch on the heating in the room but IT DIDN’T WORK !!! I called the Front Desk again and they told me that the Maintenance wasn’t available at the moment: they just were able to solve the problem sending in the room another warmer DE LONGHI !!! Obviously I refused due also for a security reason: a warmer in the room with the carpet? Not a good idea.
I get a shower and go out right away, stopping at the front desk because I had to leave the next morning.
I booked the car to go to the airport and I asked if there was anything to pay, like city tax or something like that.
The asked me: "Did you get anything from the Minibar?" I said no, and that the room was already paid by BW.
He checked my reservation and said “OK there is nothing to pay”.
I do not even had the time to get to the Clock Square (I was in Prague, no more then 3/4 minute walking) that suddenly I received a message on the phone: it was the bank's message alerted me that the hotel took my money!!! Amount of 380 Euro !!! I called the hotel and the employee said to me "It's the payment of the room." I told him: ”But just 3 minutes ago you told me that it was everything ok and there wasn’t anything to pay!” He apologized for the inconvenience, and I replayed to him: “don’t worry I'LL COME BACK NOW!” Arrived at the Hotel, he said he can not do anything right now and I had to wait for the Manager, who would be arrived the next morning!!
The following day they refunded me just 360 € instead of 380 €.
Furthermore, during the whole stay they never changed my bed sheets: they just folded down the duvet !!! Toilet paper never stocked, on the penultimate day they even left the roll of cardboard in the bathroom, where the new roll should be! In a BW PLUS !!
I swear to you that I travel a lot, but something like this never happened to me.
    Speechless.

I stayed in this hotel with my father for five days/nights in July last year and it's a nice hotel.

Anyway, Prague's a beautiful city and it was our first time to visit the city.

We are tourists from Dublin, Ireland.

Hotel lobby is shabby and parking for check in non existent. One has to pull into garage entrance and park. Small lift and our room located up separate set of stairs. Keys to room did not work initially and we had to ask for the key to the safe as it was not given on check in. Pets are accepted but are 25.00 Euro per day. FYI there is NO grass in old Town. We had to walk 1/2 mile in the rain looking for the "park across the river". Finally paid for a taxi to take us across to find some grass our dog could use. She is a well trained service dog and has never been taught to do her business on the the street or concrete. She was trained on grass.
Room advertised AC but fan barely runs and does not cool. Rooms have small frig. Adequate bathrooms but I cannot understand 4* rating as I have stayed in 4 star hotels and this one is not like those. Breakfast is included in our room rate. Room does have hot water pot and instant coffee packets. Front desk staff not particularly helpful or welcoming. Did not ask for our BW rewards # or offer to look it up. Small bar in lobby area. Smoking not permitted in hotel but just outside heavy smell of smoke comes in through the open dooors so it smells like people have smoked inside. does appear to be centrally located to many landmarks of Prague.
We booked this hotel and this chain because they accept pets and because of it's proximity to locales. We are very disappointed in the lack of facilities for animals. If you come with your dog and it doesn't or isn't trained to go on concrete, be prepared for long walks to find relief for your pet. If we could check out and go to another hotel with grass somewhere on it's property, we would.

The Hotel is clean and well maintained but a little outdated but still okay. It centrally located and is close to most siteseeing. Don't need public transportation if staying here. The staff is really nice. Was disappointed with the breakfast buffet but for convenience the breakfast works. I would come again.

Although this place has dated rooms and interiors, they are extremely clean spacious and peaceful. The hotel seems to be built in a way to match the surroundings. As a vegetarian this is one place in Europe where I was never hungry or craving for food 😉. Even the staff is very professional.

Hotel is about 15 min walk to the main train station and in the old part of town. City center is about 5 min walk.
Hotel is clean and service is efficient.
Room was quiet although the heater was not properly working with outside minus 3 C.

very nice place, superb location, the room was clean and spacious. breakfast is decent. service is greeting. one thing to know is that there are intermediate floors, so you might need to climb the stairs regardless of the floor where the elevator stops at.
