Well worth the visit, a beautifully maintanined tranquil monastery. Free to get in (well it was in Jan) with ample parking. Bear in mind it's still in use for various services which adds to the charm. Don't forget the little museum too, also free. The whoke area is great for photography as it's surrounded by the mountainous range of Tala.

If you want some peace and culture come here, don't forget to wear appropriate/respectful clothing as there are signs reminding us 😉.

Beautiful place. Great relaxing restaurant. Very reasonable shops. There is even the tala cat sanctuary just down the road. Well worth a visit.

Picturesque and a nice place to relax for a while. 2 euros gains you admittance into the (very small) museum and (even smaller) mountain caves. There are plenty of trees there to provide sanctuary from the searing July sun and is refreshing with the gentle mountain breeze.

Fantastic place to visit, we came here as part of a brilliant cultural tour that you can book very cheaply at the bus station in Paphos (€23 when we came). Very historic, good value (only €2 entrance) and a very peaceful & beautiful location.

One of the few big monasteries in Cyprus. A great place to visit. A peaceful place where harmony is everywhere. Also see the place (inside the rock) where Saint Neophytos lived. Do miss to visit the museum too.

one of the best-known monasteries in Cyprus. It was founded by monk Neophytos in the 12th century.Saint Neophytos was the founder of the monastery in 1159. He lived there and died in 1219 at the age of 85. The main church of the monastery was built around 200 years after his death and is dedicated to the Virgin Mary.

Beautiful peaceful place with stunning views, the cafe by the monastery is our favorite place in summer, shaded with beautiful trees and serving delicious cakes, coffee and simple snacks. Must see.
