A beautiful location and so much history.St Paul,and a Danish king who was on his way to the crusader wars is buried here.You can go inside the church too.It took a few days to understand how much history is in this town.I found more catacombs on the road out of town,same side of the road past the hope tree.25.04.2018.If you are here around this date walk between the fences,the catacombs are on your right,strangely hidden away.Free to visit.

The remains of a magnificent Byzantine basilica, as well as the 'new' church which has been built on top of them (Agia Kyriaki). The site is organised in an excellent manner, entrance is completely free, it is wheelchair-accessible, and the signs provide full historical and archaeological information. A must visit if you are in Pafos.

Very moving. You're walking in the footsteps of St Paul. The pillar is no longer touchable. A lovely peaceful site and church.

Well worth a look if you have 30 minutes spare. The church is also open to visitors! It is part of the main archeological area but free to look around.

There is so much to see, and it is easy to blink and miss some of the most significant markers of history. Be sure to see St. Paul's Pillar, where he was whipped 39 times.

Well worth a visit, but suggest you do it in the early evening when it's a little cooler and the light softer. The softer evening light reflecting off the pillars creates an amazing look and experience. After your visit take a walk up to the Windmill restaurant which is less than 50 metres away and chillax for dinner.

It's really worth a short walk away from the seafront with its bars and restaurants, to see some of the amazing history of this place. Also a very quiet and relaxing place to spend a leisurely hour or so.

Featuring St Paul's pillar, where he was whipped 39 times in 44 AD, when visiting the island on a successful mission to convert the ruler to Christianity. Better than that is the church itself, & the even older ruins & mosaics around it. Well worth exploring, & apparently a place of pilgrimage as well. Dress modestly if you want to enter the church.

Lovely quiet spot amazingly close to tourist area but seems like miles away. Unpretentious, attentive service, fabulous food and all round brilliant value. Exceeded all expectations. Sea bass huge, beautifully cooked and expertly filletted. Highly recommend.
