Weekend morning chanting begins at 7AM and is broadcasted via loudspeakers to the entire district for hours. Church looks impressive on the outside but is very modest inside, not worth the climb.

In Kato Paphos, up the slope from the Harbour. Nice looking church. Looks much more modern than the rebuild date of 1923. A couple of shaded benches outside if you just want to get out of the sun for a while. Away from most of the traffic and a relatively peaceful location.

Красивая снаружи церковь. Наверное, самым необычным был приделанный сбоку лифт. Внутри ничем приметным не выделяется

This old church is literally named "covered by God" as it was built on a cliff and was clearly visible to pirate raiders from afar. However, when the pirates got closer to the shore, thick mist covered the entire area essentially hiding the church, making it impossible to locate.
A great sight to visit and very close to the coastal walkway. Open during the day, free for anyone to visit.response / report this review
