Breathtaking view of the sea and comfortable access to a cozy and lovely beach. Maintenance can be improved. The staff is friendly and the experience has been overall positive. The place is a bit isolated but the hotel offers a shuttle service to Willemstad. Recommended to who is in search of relaxing and peaceful moments!

Definitely not anything more than a 2 star resort. On the plus side amazing beach!

    What a transformation!
We stayed in this hotel 9 years ago, and it was great and well run. So this time we decided to swing by for lunch, out of nostalgic memories.
The only thing that was done promptly was the charge of $6 at the gate for parking. Then we went to a restaurant - they had a buffet lunch only which did not look appealing, so we went to the bar, managed to attract attention in 10 min, got beers, and the bar lady took the money and disappeared. After waiting for the substantial change for 10 min, we gave up and went downstairs to the beach cafe. They did not have cold beer, did not have any fish, and we ordered nachos and a shrimp salad , in 5 min we were told they were out of it too.
A sad example of how a bad management can run completely to the ground a great place.

Food isn't all that good, only water, coke, orange or fruit juice as non-alcoholic choices. Room not cleaned often.

The stay was amazing, friendly personal good rooms and the view. The food was a bit monotone though and nothing much in case you are vegetation.

This must've been a beautiful place ten to fifteen years ago It currently feels like a quickly faltering state of decay.

It hasn't aged well and is badly maintained, examples:
    - overall everything looks great, until you start looking at details; everything is missing something (garden is unkept, broken lamps and door handles, and don't lean on the balcony- it looks like it breaks any moment Only to mention a few things)
    - for every day in the lodge (during our 4 day stay) we needed the front desk for a different technical problem (false fire alarm, keys not working and electrical problems)
    - one air-conditioning unit broke down, which I tried explaining to maintenance, but they just said "OK" and walked away
    - the pools are quite dirty up to the point that the water of the ocean is more clear than the water here
    - out of beach towels (which you get vouchers for) with a half full hotel (we asked upon starting our stay)
    - people at the gate and people from maintenance don't seem to speak/understand English or Dutch
    - prices haven't been adjusted to what is currently offered
    - food and cocktails overpriced for what you get
    - maybe we were put in a cheaper part of the hotel because we ordered via a provider (roomXL), prices on website directly were $230 a night while we got them for $160?

On the plus side: front desk staff is friendly and tries to be helpful, there seem to be a few new faces who are trying to get the place back together, rooms are spacy and the beach is nice, if you don't look too close most of the things look good.

Not recommending to family or friends at the moment, for the current price.

The resort is nice, but they really need to take better care of the place. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was very big, with a nice lanai and patio with lounge chairs, but the beds and decor are long overdue for remodeling. Housekeeping did an awesome job keeping our room very clean. Landscape is very overgrown and full of those poisonous manzila trees all over the property. Bring your power converter, because they don't use US 110 in the rooms. All the power outlets are the European 220. Restaurant was OK, but the service was not that great. Bartender was terrible.

The food is good but service is very slow. The grounds are not well maintained and the resort does not measure up to a five-star hotel, at least by USA standards. The restaurant had several lights not working and poolside grass roofed lounging areas had missing or non-functional fans and lights. The kitchenette lacks pots and pans, so whatever you buy at the grocery store must be microwavable. The pool needs attention. It's filter system must be broken because it consisted of a pump on a cart powered from an extension cord going off into the bushes. It had one hose pulling water from the pool and dumping it in higher so the waterfall would work. Pool plaster needs repair. Walkways have several days of iguanas feces here and there, so watch your step. Hotel room has little streaks all over the walls and ceilings from past guests killing mosquitoes. Floors evidently get swept but not mopped. Outside walkways need to at least be swept. However, there is plenty of hot water and beautiful views of the western sky and birds aplenty. Go West dive shop is far from full service. They don't tote your gear and don't set up your SCUBA tanks. One boat engine had trouble causing us to cancel plans to visit a more remote dive site in favor of repeating a previous dive closer to their home base. It seems they struggle to keep the place in good repair. I'm afraid if there isn't a significant investment in upgrades, service and maintenance there will not be enough of a draw for people to travel this far out of town.

BEAUTIFUL! just beautiful place. It is however secluded, so be sure to do your grocery shopping before arriving. Curacao is a small island, but this location isn't very central, it's really for if you want to get away from civilization.

Amazing nature and the rooms are very spacious. They are all suite style with a kitchen and balcony. It is also extremely quiet and the nature is beautiful out there. The maintenance on the buildings are not that great however.
