All was sad. Only "european" market on SAL. Not very friendly lady ať Cash desk. Have to leave bag at entry. Good prices for local alcohol "Pontche de Mel" half price than on airport or Blue eye.

The biggest shop in the area however selection is quite small to what you normally can expect. In addition - take care while the food can be of bad quality and you can experience stomach problems.

Good slection of products. The only problem is that they CHEAT at the checkout. Bought 6 bears and paid for 12. Found out after comming back to the hotel. Be careful!!!

Decent enough supermarket with most of what you may need in groceries. Small manual deli disk, some frozen items. A fresh produce section. There are hygiene articles, but not a great selection. Some beer, some wine. Candy. Basically what you would expect, not bad but not great either. Reasonable prices.

For some strange reason, I was expecting a Sainsburys Local It was more like a Londis. Has the basic food groups: veg, water, coffee and tea. They also have some random beers but they also have a some coronas at around €3 a pop. The wine selection was very random. Don't expect any rosés or mainstream zinfandels. Couldnt pay with my Credit card/Mastercard even though they had a card machine at the till. Can pay with Escudo or Euro. However all change is in Escudo. Last thing, there are no cabs usually near here so bring one with you if you buy lots of stuff.

We went numerous times in our 2 week stay. Good enough place for holiday food or the occasional meal like pizza or making a pasta and sauce. Some fresh food but not much.

Preferred by most expata, since it's one of the most well stocked markets in the island and yet, doesn't offer great variety, expensive when compared to others, but compensate for the convenience.
