Great food and environment. Good for lounging in the sun. Child friendly during the daytime. Food is expensive compared to other restaurants in Sal.

Visited here twice during a weeks holiday to Sal. First visit was for a cocktail while the sun set. Second was for an afternoon with a Bali bed package. Both visits were brill, great sea views, friendly staff, and chilled out music.
The Bali bed package was 120 euros and I would highly recommend, a Bali bed and parasol with food and drink included up to the 120 euro cost with 2 cocktails and 2 bottles of water included. The food was first rate too. Price wise on a par with a bar in London but what a location! Apparently the package to have is the Sunday brunch but sadly we returned home early that day. If I return to Sal I'll definitely be returning.

Exploitation of the local workforce in a developing tourist area is nothing new. However, no business in Sal takes this to the extreme that Bikini Beach Club does.

If you indulge in one of the many luxury packages (up to £300 per bed) you will be served the finest food and drink by a local that is paid one of the lowest service wages in Sal, the Cape Verdean staff will smile and serve you whilst being subjected to illegal and cruel work conditions. The wage for Bikini Beach staff is not enough to live on, so a meal is provided at the beginning and end of each long shift to ensure employees return to work despite the lack of pay.
The Cape Verdean employees speak many languages and deliver a high standard of service yet they are treated like animals; "legally we don't have to feed them." - Andy Osborn CEO 2018

Cape Verdean staff are made to work up to 8+ hours with no break, despite Cape Verde law stating that a break should be provided after 4 hours work.

In the cold and windy winter months management have the option to stay warm indoors however the Cape Verdean staff are forced to work outside with no warm uniform provided, around half the staff had no jacket provided December to February 2018, yet management insisted that staff cannot wear non Bikini Beach branded Jackets.

Cape Verdean workers are screamed at, publicly humiliated and disrespected by management at Bikini Beach Club, this unwarranted behaviour is rewarded with praise by other members of management: ie. “She knows how to handle the locals”.

What disgusts me more than the greed of the British millionaire owner, is the clear contempt and disregard the European mangers have for their hardworking employees whilst they enforce and condone these inhumane work conditions.

Hopefully this insight will cause much needed changes in what should be a fantastic venue. So, before parting with your cash please check that the local serving you doesn’t look freezing cold, feel free to ask the staff when they last had a break. Make sure that businesses know you won’t spend money unless they treat their staff fairly.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Its a really nice place but not many people go there and it is really trying (too hard maybe) to be like Ibiza or Marbella.

Had the most amazing time there, one reasonable fee to enter then all drink delivered by the friendliest people you could ever wish to meet. The atmosphere and the dancers were great but it was the DJ who made it all possible with the best set I have ever heard.

As they say in the Uk: @ Bikini Beach Club, they have an attitude. Bling Bling et m'as-tu-vu bienvenus. Le sourire et la simplicité peuvent aussi être liés au modeux. L'assiette et la déco rattrapent l'ambiance cul pincé.

Pretty business but very unfriendly and rude owner. You do not feel welcome and the atmosphere is very tense. Certainly not a place where it is relaxing.
