Nice atmosphere, however I did leave hungry and went to a different restaurant after. Friendly people.
I ordered the Pumpkin Soup and it was totally full of seeds and seed pieces.
They did not have Caesar salad (but it was on the menu).
A different reviewer said that they have many vegetarian options, but you have to ask for the vegetarian menu. I did not know this was an option. I wish they would have offered the vegetarian menu.
I ordered the pumpkin soup (which was not enjoyable to eat) and would have ordered the Caesar salad
I’d suggest putting the vegetarian options in the main menu, or offering every table the vegetarian menu.
Friendly people and lovely scenery :)

I wish I could give this place 5 stars because it's a nice place with good staff. However the food was not right. The pumpkin soup (a popular soup in Cuba) Had the seed in it???? It was gross they kinda tried blending the seeds but failed... I don't get it????? The fish was decent. The prices are not to bad either. Trinidad has many restaurants that are way better than this one.

Really good options for vegetarian, not on the menu but ask for it! Nice and quiet atmosphere! If you come out of the dining times...

Beautiful atmosphere dining in the courtyard, excellent service, and very delicious food. I especially enjoyed the garlic grilled fish, and guava daiquiri. Prices were very reasonable for fine dining, especially compared to the many other restaurants in the area.

I highly recommend making reservations for dinner - just stop in during the day and speak with the host.

Each night, a live band (named Cuarteto Trinisur) played and they were superb - all very good musicians, singing in tight harmonies and with excellent musical accompaniment.

We met Julio, the owner, during one of the nights we dined there, and he is such a warm lovely man. Sol y Son is a hidden gem in Trinidad and one of my absolute favourite parts of an incredible city - I can't wait to return.

First night in Trinidad, our guide recommended this restaurant. We sat on the terrace on a balmy evening 7 January after the drive from Havana via Santa Clara.
Tired but hungry, their food was good quality if typically Cuban in style. Lobster and Chicken dishes were excellent. A nice end to a long day.

This is some of the best food I ate in Cuba. The dishes are imaginative and very tasty and the service was incredible. If only there were more places like this in Cuba.
