  Decent restaurant on the steps up to Plaza Mayor. A variety of foods are served here including meat and rice, pastas, pizzas and salads.
  
  The decor is rustic with an upcycled hipster feel to it (look out for the swinging table hanging from the ceiling!). There was some excellent live music by the spiral staircase when we were there at lunchtime.
  
  Staff are attentive but like most Cuban places, your food order will take time to arrive. Otherwise, can't fault it as the food is tasty. My friends had pizza and said it was the best they'd had in Cuba.
  
  Overall, recommended.

  Bad place bad food steals your money the sevice is mediocre i would not recommend it to anybody so STAY AWAY from that place there are better and serious restaurants in town

  The place is nice and food is ok, however they charged us for food that we never ordered and unfortunately we only realised once we were out and paid already. Be very careful and read your bill before paying!

  it's become a bit crowded, but it's always a stop I make in Trinidad when I'm tired of ropa vieja. Decent pasta, decent pizza, very decent meals for a good price. it's easy to get in at lunchtime. I've eaten here about 4 or 5 times, it's consistent.

  Had a guacamole and vegetable salad here. The guacamole was better than in the west and the salad was fresh and presented extremely well. Service was top notch as well.

  If you're tired to eat beans and rice, this place offers good pizzas and burgers for Cuba! Be prepared to wait, as the restaurant is super popular

  We visited Giroud the evening of 8 January 2017. We had been staying in Trinidad a couple of days and this was our last night. I'm not sure if you can book, but we stumbled upon this atmospheric tapas style restaurant and bar as we looked for something beyond the ubiquitous, pork, lamb, fish, and beans that we'd been eating.
  Giroud was a godsend. The decor was eclectic and the blackboard menu listed many interesting plates. We waited 30 minutes for a table and as a party of 7 we had to split up. Tables and chairs are basic with packing crates generally used a chairs.
  Service was good for Cuba, still slow, but attentive. No English was spoken but a lot of poor Spanish on our part, and pointing. Got us there.
  The food was fresh, tasty, varied and filling, with a good drinks list to wash it down.
  If I'm ever back in Trinidad, I will visit again.

  Last evening in Trinidad, after 2 days of street food, we decided to splurge in a nice place we saw the day before, restaurant Giroud, that had on display a daily menu written manually on black board.
  
  They had Ricard on the drink list, so my husband "Explorian" started with this one, he said: the strongest "Jaune" he ever had :-)
  
  Then we went for a "Daube Provencale" with a glass of red wine and lobster, was so good we needed a dessert, so here we are 2 rice puddings with original perfume mint + cinamon [canelle]! The pictures speak better then I can

  Only go to Giroud if 1. you have lots of time and patience, 2. if you are not attached to the outcome of your order. I was drawn to Giroud because they had their menu and prices clearly described on a chalk board. First time around I ordered "Caesar Salad". 45 minutes later they presented me with a plate of chopped greens, tomatoes, slice of cheese and crumbled meat. I said to the waitress that a mistake must have happened. I asked where the romaine, the dressing, croutons and parmesan were. "We call this Caesar here" she said, and walked away. The second time around I thought I was ordering something simple and defined again: Onion Pizza. Little did I know the onions will be raw (not caramelized).

  Locale migliore di tutta Trinidad, ti ritrovi ubriaco e neanche te ne accorgi. Arredato benissimo, personale giovane e simpatico e cucinano diversi piatti per accompagnare i cocktail. Ovviamente Mojito
