Without question the best restaurant in Cuba: an excellent choice of tasty and well presented food served by attentive staff in a beautiful colonial building.
You're given two disposable menus when you arrive - one for food, the other for drinks. You can write quantities next to the items you wish to order for your table. These are recorded by the waiting staff and used to calculate your bill at the end of the meal.
I can recommend the fried malangas - crispy to the crunch, a bit like potato croquettes. For mains, the chicken chocolate curry is excellent and remains savoury with the depth of flavours. The ice cream here is very good too if you're looking for a dessert option.
The staff speak English and are some of the best waiting staff we came across in an affordable (for tourists) restaurant. They really make the effort to look after you which is refreshing in Cuba.
There is a charm to the place with the decor and printed material designed to mimic a former printing press. This is made apparent in the quirky titling of the menu.
In closing, a visit to Trinidad is not complete without a meal here. Highly recommended!response / report this review -

This place is amazing!
A huge selection of vegetarian options (many meat options as well). The pumpkin soup is absolutely delicious, the frozen lemonade is very refreshing. Nice and roomie place, friendly people.

You must go there! La Redaccion is one of the best restaurant in Cuba which I have tried. Colonial atmosphere, great drinks (love your Piňa colada) and delicious meals. I recommend for vegetarians as well. :)

The best food we had in Cuba! (from Baracoa to Havana to Viñales). The food was so good we came back for dinner the next day. Also the ambience is very nice with live music every night. They have more vegetarian options, the absolute best we had was the vegetarian burger. Turists know how to find the place so it’s crowded and sometimes you have to wait for a table (making reservations is an option). Also; it was the best food we had but also the most expensive.

Cubas food is everything but tempeting and delicious (in general). Foten you get fish/chicken with rice, thats it. This resturant though tries to be a hipster restaurant with high quality professional food, and succeeds! This is by far the best food I have eaten in all my 19 days of being here. The interior is from the colonial era and feels very authentic. I ordered some starters and a Caribbean bread filled with pulled pork and other vegetables. It was delicious! It took 1 hour before the food came though because the hole restaurant was completely full.
BE IN TIME! A queue quickly starts outside to come in so be here 18:30 when the restaurant opens! We booked a table for 18:30 but came late so we ended up being there 18:50 and we missed our reservation. Then we waited til 20:15 to come in. The queuing system was very confusing and he told us that he would pick us up when the table was ready but he didn’t do it so it was very frustrating.
The service wasn’t so good either for us. We was tired and hungry and the starter didn’t show up until 30/45 minutes. Other table seems to have better waiters then us also so we was a bit unlucky with that.
I really recommend this place to eat on if you miss the typical restaurant and food at restaurants at home. It’s a great concept with the typewriter theme. We got unlucky with getting a table but it’s easy to avoid that problem!response / report this review -

A really nice restaurant with good cuisine and service. Prices for main entry are about 10-15 CUC. My fish was fresh but quite dry. My wife's lamb was exqusite though. Oh, and the brownie fantastic :)

Best meal I had in Trinidad, the seafood pasta was Excellente! and the music by Pulpo, the resident musician was very good, all original compositions.

Excellent food, including some great vegetarian/vegan options – so good we came back for dinner after having lunch the day before. The food is Cuban with a European 'twist'. The black bean dip was amazing as was the seafood. Tip for vegans: their delicious house sauce was made with mayo, so try asking for an alternative – seems like the sort of place that would cater. Portions were a little small considering the price, but it was a welcome change from the large Cuban meals we'd had.
