Great beach, excellent staff great place to relax and unwind

The place had mostly older German guests who are known to be rude and at times rowdy. The place is fairly well maintained but as many places in Varadero there are issues with the air conditioning in the rooms and the food is so so. The staff at the front desk does not do much customer service and basically treat you like you are bothering them. The service people like bartenders, waiters, cleaning stuff were great and they were real characters. Overll, if you want to get some sun, have few drinks and use the hotel as place to sleep between trips to Varadero, Havana and other place, it's fine.

AVOID UNLESS YOUR ABLE TO SLEEP IN HEAT!!
ALSO DONT PAY FOR BUNGALOWS - THE BEACH CLUB (BUNGALOWS) ARE CLOSED!!!
I didn’t pay “upgrade charge” $20/night for ocean front, offered to me on arrival. So they gave me room facing front of Hotel with non-functioning AC.
Nights got hot, and there was no breeze. Ocean front rooms also had mostly no functioning AC, but they had a cool breeze which compensated.
Also, because I needed to keep my balcony door open due to heat, I heard many taxi’s blow horns, trash truck collecting Hotel garbage at 2 am every night, and employee security guard speaking to employees, right under my room in middle of night.
I asked for an upgrade to an oceanfront and they refused but said it was my fault for not reporting for 3 nights.
Second room they gave me (again facing front) also didn’t have a working AC.
Third room they gave me, had a so so working ac for 1 night, then IT BROKE!!
I had to pack up AND transport my family of 4 luggage 3 times.
The following are issues I could have dealt with if they gave me a room with AC or an Oceanfront breeze:
-employees Are tip driven, lazy disgruntled employees (bars and cafe)
- many foods ran out and weren’t replaced.
-Ice cream ran out every day and was crystallized. Chocolate only appeared 1 time.
-Many guests paid for bungalows, and BUNGALOW PART OF HOTEL (Beach Club) IS CLOSED, so they were placed in main hotel rooms!
-Shows were mediocre, but worse was that they were 9:30pm each night. So anyone adults that wanted a good nights sleep, and most children had to miss the shows.
-clean dishes ran out at every meal.incidentally, the employees broke a dish literally at every meal. Sometimes sever breakages in a single meal
-door lock requires hitting to work (housekeeper taught me)
-I made 5 trips to front desk to reprogram the door key, my wife mad a few also (garbage door lock system)
-many of common area bathrooms were stocked with NO TOILET PAPER, during entire week
-commons bathrooms has soap, 1 day during my entire week. Housekeeper didn’t bother to fill it during most days.
The price was reasonable, so To satisfy me, this hotel simply needs to provide a comfortable hotel room (with working AC OR an ocean breeze).
3 out of 3 rooms didn’t have a working AC.
The Hotel appearently had only 200 guests (1500 guest capacity), and they wouldn’t “upgrade” me to an ocean front room, not for the view, but for the breeze to compensate for the broken AC.
Therefore they rightfully deserve a 1 star!
Front desk sent me to upgrade desk, a chunky dark girl, to correct my room problem. She wouldn’t correct so I informed her I would write this up in a review. She happily offered me a TripAdvisor card and encouraged me to leave a bad review.

Our family of 5 adults spent Christmas 2017 (Dec 23-30) at Naviti Varadero. The resort met all of our needs. Ocean front rooms, good food, great entertainment. Our only complaint is the music is TOO LOUD. We come to rest and relax and do not want to have music blaring at all times at the beach and pool. Please respect your guests and turn the music down low or off. Thank you.

Beach and ocean is beautiful water is warm and calm. Hotel is pretty mediocre only the cohiba bar has a larger variety of drinks all the rest have limited selection. Resort still under renovation.

Instalaciones remodeladas,limpias, comodas y confortables. Lo unico fue que la comida no varia en el bufet, practicamente es lo mismo los 3 tiempos de comida! por lo demas lo recomendaria.

Die Leute an der Rezeption nehmen Kritik nicht ernst und erst mit dem Reiseleiter wird nach einer Lösung gesucht!Allgemein hat das Hotel echt Potenzial aber leider wird nix daraus gemacht,die Einrichtung ist schmuddelig,es gibt dreckige Handtücher und auch so gibt's viele Baustellen.Ein Hotel kann gerne mal ältere Möbel haben aber die Sauberkeit sollte stimmen!
