Das Hotel hat seine besten Jahre längst hinter sich.
Die Zimmer sind auf einem schlechten Stand, die Bäder waren kalkig und völlig veraltet.
Wir waren zum Glück nur eine Nacht hier, aber für längere Zeit sollte man hier nicht buchen.
Das Hausrestaurant ist hingegen top modern, das Essen war auch völlig ok und der Service im gesamten Hotel war auch super.

The worst service ever!!! En el bar de la piscina los dependientes están más preocupados por "inventar" q por dar el servicio a los clientes. Aún dando 5 cuc de propina te dan un servicio pésimo, casi una hora esperando por unas papas fritas. Cuando las sacan se las dan a otros clientes, le pregunto por las "papas" y el dependiente dice q eso no es su culpa, q se las pida al cocinero.

This place was like staying in a Soviet throwback from the Cold War. It was fine for one night, but I couldn't see basing an entire vacation's stay here. That said, there's a lovely restaurant down on the lower level, a HUGE pool, and it's in a beautiful area with spectacular views of the Jaguar fortress and the Caribbean Sea.

Once it might have been luxurious, however time has passed.
This oversized hotel feels cold and heartless. It looks like since 1970 no repears have been done. Rooms are relatively clean (apart from the windows) however the air-conditions are broken or produce the sound of a fighter-jet making a good night sleep impossible.
Because the city of Cienfuegos is more the 20 km away the hotel should offer decent food or activities to pass time. However non is provided. The pool is broken (already for months judging from the view) and the food is barely eatable.

Tip: book a "casa Particular" in the city center for half the price and twice the fun!
