This was the only Iberostar I've stayed in that didn't have one of those woful windows in the bathroom/bedroom. The Iberostar Grand has a bit more sophistication and isn't a modern look, it's a more charming look with beautiful decor and period style with some retired furniture throughout the building. This was my favourite hotel in Cuba, a modest size, dainty and quaint inside. The hotel is on two main upper floors with a beautiful spiral staircase leading up from reception - there is also a lift.

Not all rooms have balconies but the windows open out wide onto the bustling square below and the sunrises are incredible. Little touches like covers for your glasses in the room, and the pretty huge bathroom and very thick quality bathrobes, all added to the pluses - but there was no tea in the room.

The restaurant was pretty quiet. The duck confit was very good.

Overpriced but in a market without competition it won't improve. Food just ok. Trinidad is worth a visit but for 1 or two days max. Local prices are getting too high. They blame a short season. It is just greed taking over.

Great place to relax from the busy crowd outside. Highly recommended for good internet and you can buy the cards from the staff. Everything is fine except for the quality of the food. It amazes us that a five-star hotel cannot make a good sandwich.

For a foreigner a very reasonable priced restaurant in a 5 star hotel. 5 Star presentation, but the food quality is average.

This might be the best hotel around Trinidad, but the service is not as good as one might I expect from foreign hotels. Staff were quite lazy, and while we were there, there was a concert running every night until 2 am, which made it impossible to sleep at all. The only good thing about the hotel are the rooms, which was very comfortable, and the location, which was right in the middle of the city.

The hotel faces the Cespedes square, and is one of the nicest buildings on the square. There's also a church and the municipal assembly on that same square. Plus, there is internet access in Cespedes square, making it a spot for tourists and locals in need of fresh updates.

This hotel would be the perfect location for a Wes Anderson’s movie: it looks more like a circus than a hotel. Do you plan to go there for a drink? Prepare to be welcomed by a severe giant security guard clothed with a too narrow colonial clothe. After that, be ready for the poor quality service offered by the bartender. In the bar, under a false ceiling that seems to be about to collapse and with a musical background performed by a musician playing flute out of tune, all the staff will offer you a nonstop show: waiters and security staff's members constantly meet, talk and hug each other – they definitely feel at home. It is hard to say if they seriously think they are acting like a luxurious hotel’s staff or if they just don’t care and are happy to offer this tragicomic show.

Be that as it may, the actors and the décor are already there for a next great movie by Anderson.

We had a great stay in this Iberostar hotel. Comfortable bed and good shower/bath facilities. The hotel has, contrary to most other hotels in Cuba, a decent wifi connection and offers 30 min for free per hotel guest. Staff is very friendly and pays attention to details.
