Must be the worst hotel I have ever stayed. Smell of sewage in the room, green closed pool, massive cockroach in the room. And then the food which was horrible. The staff is rude even by Cuban measurements. One star is for the beach which is very nice!

Poor breakfast and dinner. The exterior area and design it's nice but the rooms it's very simple, poor and not in good condition. Some times the water flow on bath was extremely low without hot water. It's located close to beautiful a beach. About 14 km from Trinidad city center.

If you like resorts you will love Brisas Trinidad del Mar. It has a great beach and plenty of activities, such as snorkelling and bike hire.
International restaurant just serves the buffet food a la carte and somehow worse, so I would recommend avoiding it.
Very resorty though, so if it is not your thing I would definitely avoid that.

Absolutely terrible. Dirty public toilets, with missing locks, broken doors and no toilet paper - despite the reception being informed by clients on many occasions; poor quality food - even the a la carte restaurant (which you can book probably only once per stay) serves mainly tinned vegetables; long wait for snacks and bar service.
Worst of all - we had no water in the bathroom for 3 days, we were refused a room change and were unable to wash unless with bottled drinking water. No one cared about the problems and did nothing to solve them.

Food is awful. That's the worst bit. Service initially is poor but this is Cuba and once you say hello and speak a bit of Spanish the smiles come out and things that were not possible suddenly become so. But it is frustrating and your patience is tried and I did have to walk away twice. Beach is incredible. Pool is lovely. Just needs a new management team to sort out the food, service and maintenance which, whilst we saw people doing stuff, was focused on tasks that shouldn't have been prioritised. Wouldn't rush back if at all but so long as you can relax about the service and plan to go out for great food in the most incredible colonial city which is just up the road, I think you'll have a good time.
