When in Havana you shouldn’t miss this landmark even though it’s a bit of an obvious place to visit. It’s a very photogenic place. Tip: if you’re staying at hotel Saratoga as we did make sure to visit the rooftop bar and swimming pool. From here you have a stunning view upon the city below you and more importantly the Capitol. It’s a really nice view.
Beautiful structure that was once the legislative capital of Cuba. It does look a bit like the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington D.C.
Best building on the city. Well kept and a excellent architecture design. Must to see in Havana
Impressive building. We just saw it from outside.
An impressive and big building, it would be even more interwsting if we could get in and explore it from the inside too but it wass under renovation. For a lot of years already. And as there were no workers or work being done for ten days we were in Havana it looks like it is going to stay under renovation for many more years
Beautiful building and excellent landmark to help you get back on track when you get lostand you will! Restoration has been going on for years to it continues to be closed as do many historic buildings in Cuba, but it is still worth a look and you can enjoy watching real Cuban life go by in the parks around it.
Majestic building, renovated, looks like White House, it is even bigger. One of the "must see"
Gorgeous building. All of the residents, tour guides aee quick to boast about how it's an exact replica of Washington's Capitol building. That said you are currently not allowed to go inside the building due to the fact that it's being restored, a process that has taken the better part of the past decade.
Beautiful building in the middle of Havanna. The big street infront of it allows you to take a good look at the old cars cruising around
BEAUTIUL x10 building. At first glance it seems to be the exact copy of American capitol. Dont believe it. Its NOT EXACT copy - Cuban Capitl is 7 inches higher.
A must see when you visit Havana. In 2017, 50% of the building is still being renovated: it is best to wait before visiting.
Beautiful structure, I was born in Cuba couple blocks around here, I moved when I was little and since then this building has always been in some kind of construction, they always doing something to it, I never been inside but what I would say the outside is almost an exact copy of the one in Washington DC, and the surrounding of this place are stunning too, the colorful buildings and the old fashion cars.
Seeing El Capitolio and the old fasion cars at the same time will make you excited 😊
Looked absolutely stunning. It was closed for renovations when I visited but it well worth it. The dome was a saving grace whenever I found it difficult to locate my position in the streets of Old Havana. By looking up and finding the dome I knew immediately where to head to direction wise. Yes do visit, no you don't have to enter to enjoy its architectural beauty.
huge and gorgous
Beautiful building but under constructure since 2014
A exact copy of the one in Washington
Never been to Cuba but I over all love the history and the el capitolio which just looks like the u.s capital and the people in Cuba and how they have the best health care in the world , I wish the visit Cuba. 🇨🇺
