Nice cosy atmospheric little place with good (not great) food at reasonable prices. Drinks are a bit expensive however, but if live music is playing while you are there then it is well worth the cost. The toilets are in a need of repair, but the rest of the place is tidy.

I stopped in here a few times on my visit. The food was very good here as well as the service. There was music playing both times and a lot of happy activity of people moving about. A must visit if in Havana.

Watch your bill. My waiter didn't list prices and when I questioned the total he revealed a $3.50 service charge (25+% of the total) then removed it when I pushed it.

Great live music, great drinks, great service. We came here because some of the more popular spots were too busy. We are so glad. When we return to Cuba, we will return to Monserrate.

I don't want to give one star to this restaurant. If you visit this restaurant/bar cause of price or atmosphere, don't believe it. I visited this bar on May, 2017.

When I visited there, they only sold imported beer at high price eventhough national beer and coke on the menu. And also, I ordered lobster and steak, steak taste was like rubber, so I couldn't bite and cut it by knife and lobster was too salty.
Above all things, the waiter who works at there, he serve us with racism. He took our beverage without asking and he threw the bill to our table and he laughed with any reason. He was too rude and impolite to customers.

I was really angry with this situation, so I complained but he deny. I was upset to this bar and I massed up my lasy day of Cuba.
I am really disappointed the Cuban and he made shame of Cuba.
Please don't visit this restaurant, don't believe this restaurant, it would be better to buy some food on road with kindness. It will be more tasty.

If you want to feel racism, feel free to visit here.

Was taking a bicitaxi to Parque Central when it started pouring. We asked Michael the taxi guy if he could drop us off at a bar, and he dropped us off here, a block before La Floridita (which was probably SRO due to the sudden downpour.) We were able to share a table with a nice couple of Italian guys, and chatted with them while we ordered drinks. I got the "Cuban Manhattan," which basically subs Havana Club for Rye. It was pretty tasty. Prices were good, and the service was really good, even by USA standards!

Once I finally got the waiters attention and was able to place an order, I was told that they did not have the national beer called Cristal – only Heineken.

Since I am allergic to that brand, I ask for a soda or a refresco. Sorry, none of that either, but he could get me a Coca Cola for $2.50 – but with cocktails normally going costing $4, I instead order a Mojito.

The waiter even said ‘this is an expensive bar’. I was would rather call it rude and over-priced.

Odd that they did not have the national beer since listed plainly listed on the menu is Cerveza National. Also, the beer tap knobs are Cristal as are the huge logos plastered all over the beer coolers.

However, the entertainment was just as good as any other you can find in Havana whether it is an ‘expensive bar’ or not.
