We did not stay at the hotel but used the beach and bars available. We found the bar staff to be really nice indeed - a good place to get a local rum cocktail.

A little out of the way. Decent facilities but more interesting to see the beach where the Americans landed.

This is the main (and only) official hotel in Playa Giron.
There is the main building with bar & reception and diving center. The guests live in bungalows.

There is a sandy beach right in front of the hotel but the impression is bit spoiled by the horrible concrete breakwater. Also the the water at the beach is very shallow.

The hotel is very big but only the central part is actually in use and the buildings (bungalows) on the sides of the areal are visibly abandoned and damaged
