Fantastic place to stay in Cuba, feels like home and the owner Jorge makes every day awesome!

it was a pleasure to stay there, i went with my sister on august of this year and was looking for the safest places to stay at la habana, but were close to everything and found this place. Its close to el malecon, good restaurants, wifi park, and its a lot safer than staying at la habana vieja. Also if you need a taxi tell the hosts, they will help you with everything.

When we got there, we saw the place being in a complete mess. The air was thick with cement and dust. Hammering and drilling would start from morning and went on till 8 in the evening. He never once mention renovation in the email.
He was really unhelpful and ignored us as much as he could, but seemed very keen trying to please his repeat clients. He also made some really inappropriate comments at me that made me and my mother feel very uncomfortable. We just waited for it to be over so we could head home. A most fantastic experience! The house is beautiful, clean and charming. I have nothing bad to say about this casa. We will definitely be going back, hopefully soon.

Jorge is a great host. He helped me a lot with my Havana and Cuba sightseeing organization. He has a lot of friends all around the island so he is full of great ideas and good information for traveling when staying on Cuba. Jorge was very kind and always ready to help.
He lives in Vedado near the coast, Malecon road. His place is also near the centre of Havana. I liked that the house was placed in a calm and quiet neighborhood. He also has a housemaid living with him. She prepared breakfast for us every morning. I loved breakfast there. The table was loaded with fruit and other food. My room was big and cozy. The furniture was in colonial style. It was very romantic. The double bed was perfect. There was also air-conditioning and private bathroom.
Because Jorge is a professional masseur we could also get a massage and sometimes it felt great after a long day.
I would recommend this casa to anyone who wants to see all that Cuba has to offer. We had a fantastic time there and would go back without a doubt.response / report this review -

Casa Blanca is a true home away from home. Located in a quiet Vedado neighborhood, this old colonial house is immaculately maintained. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and well-appointed. And the breakfasts are excellent: fresh fruit and juices, baked bread, homemade jam, delicious omelettes. And I cannot say enough about the owners, who speak English and Spanish. Informative, super friendly and just plain fun to be around. We feel welcome every time we step through the door. Sometimes we just enjoy sitting in the cool shade of the veranda after a long day of sightseeing. We have been in Havana many times through the years, staying at a wide range of five star hotels. Casa Blanca beats them all. Today, we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Nothing is too much trouble, they are happy to help you with laundry, restaurant reservations, taxis, etc.

My one week living at CASA BLANCA Lodging was unforgettable experience. This place has a big & very clean rooms with air conditioner and private washroom, the Host Jorge is a very nice person fluent in English, I have received from him a very valuable help an tips to save money in Havana, this place is near many amenities and night clubs centers, restaurants and cabarets, congratulations Casa Blanca
