Magical! Ylang Ylang is where the jungle meets the sea. A pristine, verdant landscape with clean, unique lodgings, and a staff that feels like family made this a vacation we long to repeat. Waves upon the beach harmonize with the sounds of forest life. Sunshine and shade intermingle. Flavorful, healthy food and thoughtfully crafted cocktails. And the scent of ylang ylang flowers on the air . . . it is truly a paradise.

Really loved our accommodations at Ylang Ylang but were very surprised at proximity to neighbors. Photos do not show this but the hotel and its grounds are top rate. Food was very good and staff was friendly. Everyone was helpful and we liked that we could walk around town and did not need a car for the first few days of our vacation. The town is very popular and the beach had lots of activity day and night.

I had my wedding here. Emma and the staff were absolutely amazing. I felt like a movie star every day waking up to these views in the jungle around me. The wedding was better than anything I thought I wanted. I will cherish these memories forever. Food was five-star gourmet staff treats you like family. We stayed in Coco Joe’s, it has a walkway to the beach and in the loft and porch you can see the best views. The loft windows open up above the bed and you wake up to the ocean absolutely amazing! The wedding reception And bonfire on the beach is something I will never forget! The amount of exotic animals you see is awesome! I will be back!

A wonderful, quiet and beautiful bit of paradise. A small resort spread out through the jungle, you really feel like your part of nature with all the flora and fauna. We stayed in Coco Joe bungalow, which was super cute and very private. Outdoor shower was awesome, as was the loft bed. Since its so close the ocean is loud though, if you need it really quiet in order to sleep you may struggle. The staff are simply awesome, so friendly and helpful. We were there 9 years ago and just went back for a week, can't wait to get back there again!

Our stay at Ylang Ylang far surpassed our expectations. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, the wildlife was amazing, the food was fantastic, the treetop canopy room was so peaceful, and the pool was tranquil and relaxing. We also loved not tripping over other vacationers everywhere we went, whether it was walking the resort path to dinner or the pool, or walking the beach path to surf beach. I think we encountered more wildlife than people, which was awesome!! A vacation that we won't soon forget, and will hopefully return to!

Wonderful resort, fantastic location and incredible staff. We stayed for ten days which we thought may be too long but it turned out that we never wanted to go anywhere else. It was that great! We stayed in a beach bungalow and we loved it. Can't wait to come back!

Beautiful spot to be, the yoga was great. Locals make you feel at home and comfortable walking about. Get to experience different animals while walking around.

But when it comes to personal space when your trying to sleep.the green pcp pipe rooms with the green tarp over wasn’t very smart.
The floors had gaps in between allowing massive spiders into our “tent”. Was expecting something a little more secure (at least the floor). The shower room was okay, crabs in the shower don’t mind that.
As we had unusual weather allowing spiders with foot long legs and half a foot body. Three under our bed and were unknown due to the unusual weather.

One 6 inches from where my head would be. Don’t recommend for anything that does not like having things in your room as you sleep. Even in the buildings
Was expecting more quality in the room structure.
Took me 3 months to feel comfortable sleeping in my bed without having to stay up all night backs together watching each wall. Was a very long getting to this resort. Multiple planes and boat and a Jeep. To feel disappointed and left before stay more than two days.
Was going to help my mental health and heal but was more exhausted than a “trip”. Best part of the trip was getting out of the airport and leaving.
I’ve traveled many times and grew up on a farm. Not a lot makes me scared but this was silly.

Have travelled far and wide and this is the best place we have ever stayed. Remote, unspoiled luxury. Rooms are understated and perfect. Organic foods, lovely spa, great staff and so relaxed. The views and sounds of the surf are constant and calming and the beach can’t be beat. Family, singles and lovers alike will benefit from a stay here. Worth the trip that feels somewhat remote and tiring, but wake here and you’ll want to stay.

The ylang ylang is my favorite place to visit on trips to Costa Rica. It truly is a magical place. The staff is remarkable, the food is amazing and the rooms are perfect. There is so much to see and do while you are there, the hard part is trying to fit everything in. It's a place you must visit to appreciate. What are you waiting for, start planning your trip!

My wife and I stayed at Ylang Ylang for part of our honeymoon and the service was incredible. The bar has a huge drink menu, the restaurant had excellent food, and the pool was very private. We stayed in Coco Joe's Bungalow for four nights and were very comfortable. The view of the ocean from the room is great. The front desk was able to book all of our activities for us and made the stay very enjoyable. We appreciated all the little honeymoon surprises that they had for us in our room. If we every come back to Costa Rica, we plan on visiting Ylang Ylang beach resort again.
