The best lasagne I have ever eaten. Casual fun el fresco atmosphere. Service was excellent and there is a fabulous gourmet food shop with a good wine selection.

We live in Langosta and this is our favorite restaurant in tamarindo or Langosta. Walter actually takes great pride in his restaurant and the service and food are always amazing. Amazing place but make sure you make a reservation because it’s packed 7 days a week!

Kinda weird name for an Italian restaurant, but we liked it quite a bit. Get the pesto tortellini. Everything is homemade. Service was excellent. If we return to this area, we'll be back.

Walter's is a must stop for us on our trips to Langosta. The cheese, the meats, the wine, the dinner and the evening music. A happy place. Wish the music would just play a little longer..

Certainly not worth the cost. Probably sizes are very small, cheese is poor quality, wine is over priced. Hours of operation are inconsistent, venue is small.

An Italian style deli, run by real Italians with an amazing cheese, meat, and wine selection. On the walk back from Playa Langosta, we stopped here to see what was available. We were greeted by the Italians working here and given samples of Asiago and the daily made Mozzarella. It was the most flavorful Mozzarella I have ever had in my life. I did not know Mozzarella could have so much flavorful (olive oil, dairy, and light spice flavors). To treat ourselves, we purchased 100g of Asiago and 100g of cured meat as an appetizer for about c$5,000 colones ($10). We wish we had known of this place early, as it is a wonderful shop to make a nice picnic selection. If you have a chance to visit Tamarindo and want to treat yourself, visit this shop and you will not be disappointed.

Better than Italy! They know Italian food. Everything made fresh and I mean everything! Herbs picked right on site! Not many tables but easy to get in before 730.

Hands down the best Italian food I've ever had. Forget Italy, come to Walters in Costa Rica! Menu changes daily, so come often to try everything. House made cheeses are unbelievable. It's a bit out of the way, and easy to miss, but don't you dare pass up this place. Come early on Friday for their live music night.

Walter's owned and operated by an Italian couple truly offer a fine Italian dining experience. Had I closed my eyes, this could have been a 5 star Milan dining experience. Instead it is Costa Rica's best kept dining experience. The fish is delivered fresh twice weekly and many of the ingredients are grommets on property. The cheese plater and Tuna Tar Tar were to die for. They also have a great selection of Italian wines.
