I really loved our stay in this hotel. Good size rooms with big windows, almost all rooms have a great view of Arenal volcano. Well kept grounds, good size pool and jacuzzi. Close to good restaurants. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Great place to stay, very homey feeling.

Stayed here 1 night while visiting the area. It was a pleasant surprise. The rooms are very clean and air conditioned. Staff is exceptionally friendly with good, solid advice about local attractions and tours. The pool and hot tub are well kept, clean, and quite nice. The grounds are stunning and the view of the volcano is breath taking. The sitting area outside is very nice with very well kept furniture. Only downside is that the lighting is a bit dim and the decor is a bit dated. This place isn't the ritz Carlton, but if you're looking for a place that's clean, comfortable, friendly and offers excellent value for your money then this is an excellent choice. We will be coming back again.

Warm and inviting staff with a complete knowledge of the local attractions and service providers. Day tours can be arranged right from the lobby! The rooms are bungalows -- two per building -- that are well maintained, have AC that actually works and hot water that is actually hot! Very private setting with views of the volcano. Swimming pool and hot tub/spa on the grounds. Directly across the highway is the Vagabond Pizza Parlor and Bar with good food, cold Costa Rican beer, and free wi-fi service. The local market is walking distance so you can buy fruit and other foods without having to get in your car. All things considered, this is a very nice, inexpensive place to stay in La Fortuna.
