Pros- Located between the town of La Fortuna and Arenal on the main road. Family owned business surrounded by farm land. The views were amazing and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic. They had Satellite TV in the rooms and our room had a safe but the other room did not. The AC worked well in both of our rooms. Rustic. The guy working at the desk was very helpful. Nice patio area with table and chairs at every bungalow.
Cons- Beds were uncomfortable, just a mattress on the frame. No refrigerators in the rooms. No daily housekeeping service. Drive between the desk and the bungalows can be rough but typical for the Arenal area.
I would definitely stay here again. Great deal for the price.
We had a great stay here. It was very good value. Other hotels in this area with the same views are 5-10 times the price! The views are beautiful and you can walk to the free hot springs river from here. There are restaurants nearby for an evening meal. The room was large and clean. The staff here are really lovely, particularly the man when we arrived - he couldn't do enough to help us and make us welcome. The free breakfast was also tasty. The Wi-Fi was a bit patchy but apart from that, great place.
Es un lindo lugar.
Lindas vistas. Vegetación exuberante y desayuno delicioso!
El lugar es muy tranquilo
Hot water a problem here. Wi-Fi not in cabins, only reception, but you can survive that
Good cabins, price and great view to the colossal Arenal Volcano!
Ultimately, we left and stayed at a different hotel, here is the experience we had.
We got there later in the day as the sun was setting. Checked in. Drove to our the room. (might need and all terrain vehicle for this, the is a dip in the road which could present a problem if it was raining). We looked around and the scenery was very nice. Kinda cute like on a farm or something, with the volcano in the background. We walked into the apartment and it looked like a cheap out dated motel that wasn't well kept. Meh hopefully the scenery in the morning will make up for it. When tried turn on the AC and nothing. At this point I was not going to be able to relax if I didn't have AC so we went back to the front desk to switch rooms. Second room same story looked like a bad out dated motel. The AC worked but there was a large crack in the window. We didnt feel comfortable and ended up leaving. The guy at the front was very nice about at least giving us a full refund.
