Best excursion I've ever had. Our tour guide was very involved and stayed with us during the duration of our excursion, from the horseback riding, zip lining, and hot springs. He even stopped along the route to Vandara and bought us all fruits to try. It was a kind gesture. I had an amazing time and the staff really paid attention to our safety and ensured we had a great time. The coffee and treats provided during this excursion were some of the best. I've never had coffee that tasted so good.

An absolutely fabulous trip. Zip lines, water slide (yikes I thought I was going to fly out), cultural experience, lava mud, hot spring and thundering water fall shower. All were great. Lunch was also excellent I recommend the pork.

I spent a day here and it was one of the most memorable experience of my life. I had one of the most remarkable tour guys who pick me up from my hotel and drove me to this location which was about 1 hour and a 1/2 away. The facilities are amazing and the people who work there are some of the most accommodating individuals that you will ever meet. I will this place to anyone who is visiting this region of Costa Rica. If you love nature, or an adventurer, you should definitely visit this place.

Awesome spot to kill a few adventures at once. Horseback riding, zip lining, cultural education, mid baths, hot springs. This place has it all. Clean, organized, and we'll maintain. Lunch was very good. Highly recommend.

My family & I had an amazing vacation! The staff was so attentive and helpful. Our tour guides were so knowledged and patient. Every day was filled with a new adventure! I spent the late evening relaxing in hot springs with piña coladas served pool-side. The whole experience was by far my best vacation after years of travel!

I visited Costa Rica with a group of 30. About 20 of us took the tour from the hotel to the Vandara Hot Springs. Our tour conductor Martin was knowledgeable, entertaining and just the best tour conductor for any tour I've ever been on. He explained a lot about Costa Rica - the food, the education system and the environment. He allowed us to stop and pick mangos ripe of the trees!

As for Vandara is was beautiful. From the point we arrived until we sadly left everyone enjoyed themselves. The lunch which was provided was absolutely delicious - the mashed plantains with brown sugar and cinnamon was everyone's favorite. And the hot spa was so relaxing and in a perfect location.

I will definitely recommend this place to any groups I have visiting Costa Rica in the future. It was definitely worth the money.

It couldn't have been any better. Our family of 12 spent the day at Vandara and it was the absolute best. It was a day of any "Firsts" to ride horseback, zip line, enjoy the fresh water river, volcanic hot springs, mud, water tube and eat the best authentic produce. Every thing was wonderful and the best was hearing our kids and grandkids say, this was the best day ever!

This adventure is well worth the $$. Make sure to go with Rego Suave as your guidehe can be found a Flamingo Beach. The zip line was the best I've ever been on10 lines total. Water slide, then volcanic mud bath, then river rinse and then awesome hot springs with bar. Finally, our meal was gourmet. Truly the best of Costa Rica

Nice place to relax in the hot spring pool. Food is good and they have added some features over time, like a private access area and a trapiche-coffee exposition. There is also zip-lining and horse tours. Was crowded with tourists when I was there last.

I visited Vandara today on a tour with an external tour company. When we got there, there was a man employed by Vandara on a horse across the parking lot, and from that distance we were able to see a horrendous open wound under the horse's chin he was riding. There was blood all over the ropes from the wound as well. They chose the same man to use that horse to ride us up to the zip lines. I kept trying to ask and show my serious concern for the state of the horse but it was to little avail as my Spanish is minimal at best. It was a VERY apparent injury that in no way could have been missed. I let my external tour guide know what was going on and refused the additional services we had already paid at Vandara. My tour guide went and talked to who he pointed out as the boss of the facility and supposedly after lunch he was going to take care of it. I have absolutely no intentions of ever recommending Vandara and can only hope and pray medicinal attention is immediately administered to the horse. If you have compassion for animals, this is not the place for you.

Staff was great, activities were great, but i wasnt happy with the conditions of the horses. They were thin and acted hungry. I felt bad. But everything else.was great. Hot Springs were incredible and the water slude is scary.but fun. They made the tour group a great lunch too!
