It s a safe place where to find a guide that is not a smug in the city. You have to pass there to access the park of tueruguero. The fee is 10 USD pp

Tortuguero is a must while visiting Costa Rica. The park is unique in the way that you go around in small boats on the waterways and explore without disturbing the wildlife, effortless. Its also large enough to accommodate large number of visitors without feeling overcrowded. We had seen crocodiles, caimans, various birds, colorful iguanas, and sloths. The Tortuguero village is nice and worth a short coffee visit. The turtles nedting places are the biggest attraction on late spring when the large females are coming to nest and at the end of summer when the young ones hatch and rush to the ocean.

Wild nature. It is possible to get that place only by boat. Also recommend to visit for 1-2 nights

Great place to visit and see the sloths, spider monkeys, caiman, turtles
In the rainy season is not very busy, but things change in dry season, (summer time).
DON'T BUY YOUR BOAT TICKETS TO ANYONE IN THE PARKING.
buy your tickets in the office once you have parked, and definitely don't buy go and return to the guys in the parking. Tickets are 2.000 colones in the office (they charge you 5.000 go and return)

Un lugar que se podría mejorar un poco y sería mucho más bueno, todo es bastante Rustico y en algunas ocasiones innecesario!

As a tourist pay your $12 days admission to the National Park and go explore the trails, take a boat tour or hire some kayaks from the neighbouring village. Tip: apply plenty of mosquito repellent as this place is swarming in them!
