Thanks for the beautiful walk through your trail! Loved seeing the sloths, owls, toucans and frogs! Make sure you take the tour it is well worth it, Giovanni has the eye to find the animals effortlessly!

A hidden gem not advertised. Giovanni and brother William have created a secret little jungle paradise in the middle of LA Fortuna town. It deserves recognition as an untouched natural habitat run by two brothers that are not trying to run an expensive tourism site. Giovanni has a wicked sense of humour, but don't believe he gets the great taste of his coffee by filtering the coffee he gives away free by straining it through his socks. Or maybe you should! We had the most amazing experience at Bogarin with owner and guide extraordinaire Giovanni. While we were staying at an AirBnB in Arenal, we got a recommendation to check out “Giovanni’s Trail” and explore the wildlife on his nature reserve. Giovanni met us at our AirBnB and led us to his place. We immediately started on a tour through his property, which is so beautiful, green, and filled with wildlife and plant life. Giovanni explained all about Costa Rican wildlife, plant life, and the natural habitat native to Costa Rica. We saw bright colors, unique plant life, and different species of birds, frogs, sloths, and so much more. Giovanni has an amazing ability to not only spot animals from afar, but also he can make all types of animal sounds with his mouth, which was incredible. He brought the rainforest to life. We had a fantastic time walking through his property.
Towards the end of our tour, Giovanni told us to come back a bit later and he would take us to a spot down the road to see some monkeys, which we did not get to see. We had already been on a few hour tour, so he did not need to offer us to come back, but Giovanni is all about the experience and creating a once in a lifetime opportunity for his guests.
We highly recommend Bogarin to anyone who wants the very best in Costa Rica wildlife and nature. Giovanni and his brother offer an incredible experience and are so warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. This is a must see!

This place is awesome. The ecological diversity here is a great example of Costa Rica and it is right in La Fortuna. The guides are very knowledgeable and are very in touch with nature. They recently acquired a telescope which allows the user to view Sloths and birds from a distance extremely well. After going on the tour, we volunteered and got the opportunity to learn even more about the creatures and plants while helping to improve the reserve. I look forward to returning. I have attached some great pictures from the reserve. Also the hours of operation are not correct at the time of this review. If you go during the day, they will most likely be open.

A hidden gem, Giovanni is a great guide (and owner) with a vast array of animal noises to draw in the wildlife from this private reserve he has designed and maintained since 2000.

Owner/guide was so friendly and informative. This is a hidden gem. An animal haven in the middle of the city. Giovonie is a man on a mission, working on making a wheelchair/handicapped accessible trail. Come help support him and his dream! We learned so much during our time with him. We highly recommend making this a part of your visit. You'll see plenty of wildlife in their natural habitat

ממליץ מאוד על הסיור המודרך של סנדרו, הנקרא בפי הישראלים " ג'ובאני" . מדריך שעושה את עבודתו מהנפש ולא מתוך הכרח. אם פספסתם איזה שהוא ציפור הוא יבוא מאוחר יותר לאסוף אתכם שוב ולנסות למצוא את הציפור.
