After trying several car rental companies, I am pleased to say, I have found one I really like in Guanacaste. Steven emailed me personally before my trip. They were promptly awaiting me at the airport holding a recognizable sign. Paul gave me ideas for local fare and attractions nearby. The cars were nice and new and the service was outstanding. I will absolutely return here for my rental cars. They are also the closest to the airport, so no need to backtrack if your headed to the beach.

Phenomenal Experience the whole way through. The staff was very nice and new english very well. They were extremely friendly and helpful. They picked me up from the airport and had a sign with my name on it (not sure if they were not allowed to be inside, but I did find them finally outside). My SUV was clean and new and performed perfectly on seriously bumpy terrain on the unpaved roads of Costa Rica. hank you Sixt!

The best car hire experience, worldwide ever. As promised, a driver was waiting for us at the airport for my family and all our luggage. A short drive in an nice a/c minibus to the cool, clean office where we were met by the manager and his staff, who were brilliant, giving us friendly tips and recommendations for our first visit to Costa Rica, definitely great ambassadors for their country. Everything was a breeze, just some papers to sign, they even threw in some extras for free and we were shown to our immaculate car. We had a great couple of weeks in Costa Rica, the car was faultless, we returned it (dirty) and we were quickly signed off and driven back to the airport to catch our flight.
I can't recommend these guys enough, they speak great English, so give them a call if you have any questions (as I did, regarding the insurance, which is like the American system rather than the European system).

The employees at Costa Rica's Liberia Airport branch of Sixt were wonderful. Branch manager Paul Patterson was extremely welcoming to his country and provided us with maps and many fantastic suggestions for our short trip.

Car rental in Costa Rica can be a bit expensive, but, armed with a collision damage waiver from my credit card company, we received the best rate possible with no hidden fees. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to traverse the terrain of the country.

5 star service from the moment we walked in the door!! Paul and his team truly went above and beyond for us on our trip to Liberia He upgraded us to a bigger vehicle so our trip would be more comfortable, gave us some great tips on places to stop on our way for some great views and even bought us smoothies upon our return 7 days later! Paul should be running a 5 star resort with his customer hospitality skills!! I can't say enough about the way he treated my family and how great our experience was with Sixt. We highly recommend Paul and his team!!

I recently rented a vehicle from Sixt Rent a car and was very impressed with the staff and service at this location. The car I rented was very clean and in great condition. I highly recommend renting here. I have now been in Costa Rica for 5 weeks and have rented vehicles 4 times from Sixt Rent a car. I am very impressed with their service and quality of the cars. Paul, Oscar and the rest of the staff are great to deal with. Deal with them and you will glad you did. Their service exceeds 5 stars

We were in a bind & needed a car for @ day or 2. Paul was wonderful, arranging to have the car dropped off & picked up in town in Liberia. Oscar was super pleasant when dropping the car off & picking it up. These guys are super efficient and they are all about service! Highly recommend!

My recent trip to Costa Rica was the first time I had rented a vehicle in the Country. I decided to do business with Sixt because I felt that their prices were fair and they received favorable reviews. What I didn't know is that Sixt is one of the oldest car rental agencies in the world!
On arrival I was greeted with a smile and their level of service was very satisfying. They immediately upgraded me to the next level at no additional cost when I asked for options of vehicles. The car was clean and handled all of the adventures that we threw its way.
I would recommend Sixt Liberia to anyone traveling to Costa Rica.

I am so happy that we found Sixt Rent a Car in Liberia. After much searching and investigation (literally days in front of the computer) we were quite apprehensive that renting a car was going to be a hassle. This was even confirmed by others on our visit by local sources. However, we can guarantee that Sixt is extremely easy to work with and advises you of all fees up front unlike the rest. They are so transparent and friendly to work with. We had the pleasure to meet with Paul Peterson (location manager), his assistant and shuttle drivers. They all are very professional, warm, and very helpful. The office location is clean and orderly, the cars were clean and great condition, and both pick-up and drop-off were smooth and easy. Don't waste time with any other vendors just go to Sixt, you will not regret it. I know I will on my next visit. Thanks Paul and team! Pura Vida!

I looked into information and reviews on car rental companies in Liberia prior to booking, and ultimately I decided to go with Sixt because of their good reputation there. Everything went smoothly and we were treated very well by their employees. They had a sign with my name and were waiting to pick me up from the airport when I landed. No pressure from salesmen to purchase additional insurance--they were very honest and friendly and not trying to scam their customers. I would definitely rent from them again if I return to Liberia.

Very quick and attentive. Very clean facility with great staff. Car was above expectation. I also forgot my credit card at the counter when picking up vehicle. I realized it hours later and called asking if it was there. They had put it away waiting for my call or return. The kindly held on to the credit card until I returned the vehicle. Will definitely use their service again.

I have been to Costa Rica many times and even owned a car there. I have also rented cars from many different rental companies. After all this experience, I finally found the perfect solution: Sixt at Liberia Airport. If you can deal with Paul Pattarson in particular, you are a lucky person. The thing is that Costa Rica has "funny" laws about mandatory insurance which often don't show when booking online. However, with Sixt/Paul, you know what you get and they will treat you like you are their best and most special customer. I will rent with Sixt for all my future trips because I know what I get and I can trust them and they have good deals.

Oscar and Paul were super helpful (which takes the edge off of arriving in a new country!). Airport shuttle was great - easy to find right outside of baggage and short shuttle time. I'll definitely be using Sixt in Liberia again.

I had an extremely great time exploring Costa Rica together with the very helpful Paul and the guys from Sixt! The Car worked perfectly and managed every road to get us to every hidden gem we wanted to see.

The Sixt staff was very helpful if there was any problem or question we had. I will definetly come back to Costa Rica and explore the country again with Sixt over there!

Paul and the employees at Sixt were very accommodating for us. Staff were all very professional and friendly. The shuttle to and from the airport was prompt and convenient. They exceeded our expectations when they offered to adjust the price of our rental when we had to return the car early due to a family emergency. My fiancee and I appreciated this more than we could express and would gladly give them our business again. Paul and the people at Sixt, Liberia went above and beyond our expectations and I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone to work with them if you are in need of a rental car in the area.

Great experience with Paul and staff at Sixt! The pick up from the airport to the car location was right on time and was under a 5 minute drive. Getting set up was fast and easy! The longest part of it (but the Best part) was Paul sharing with us these great tourist destinations for us! From the common places to the "local" places. This is our second time with Sixt and will now be our go-to rental company!

These folks are great. Best service and price in Costa Rica. There are no hidden charges. Whoever said that was just wrong. CR law requires insurance, but that cost is included in the quoted price.

Truly awful. Do not rent a car from this place. We prepaid through experience and they tried to push all kinds of extra costs on us. Do a very thorough walk through and take pictures of your car. They charged us for a scratch on a very scratched and dented car. Worse service ever

Very very very friendly staff! Came to costa rica for a week vacation and was intrigued by there excellent customer service. We were quick in and out of the office no additional charges were applied. They even gave us a ride back to our hotel in liberia once we dropped off the car the day before we left. Will rent from sixt next time I'm in Costa Rica.
