We had the shared plate. It was really fresh a d tasty. I loved your plates and bowls. The person who served me told me it's from a shop in Santa Anna. Are you willing to share the name of the shop and or their website ?

The best restaurant in town! The food was unbelievably amazing and the service was awesome! My husband and I can’t wait to go back to Costa Rica and go there again!

We ate here 10 years ago on on our honeymoon, loved it, and upon returning during a return trip was served the worst cut of New York Strip I have ever encountered. Upon cutting into an ordered medium grill I was unable to make a full cut without force due to what appeared to be tendon and a surplus of tough fat. Was disgusted by the cut of meat served and extremely disappointed as I looked forward to a return dining experience when we began planning our family trip. Had a replacement meal of cheeseburger and I left truly wondering where they buy their beef.
If looking for a family dining experience go elsewhere as there are now a multitude of better tasting restaurants in La Fortuna.

Excellent food, period. It's quite surprising to find such a high end restaurant in such a small town. It's better to make reservation. Main courses are quite generous so don't order a starter unless you're very hungry. Prices are high but it's definitely worth it. Location is quite central, one block away from the main square and the staff is very attentive.

Hands down the best restaurant in La Fortuna. The food is incredible and all the staff are amazing. We had dinner every night there during our stay.

For those who’s reviews state it’s too expensive, do us all a favour and don’t eat at fine dining restaurants. The portions are huge and prices are more than fair. The food presentation was fabulous as well!

What I loved about this place was not just its incredible food, but the kindness and hospitality of its owner, Carlos. I was a little down that night because of a bad experience that day. Carlos sat there and talked to us for hours, bought us 4 glasses of wine on the house and talked to us even after the restaurant was closed.

He gave us pointers on places to visit which are authentic and beautiful. He is also fully committed to his community and relentlessly tries to make everyone's life better. Dinner here was not just the good food, it was that feeling that there are good, kind hearted people in the world no matter where you are.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for changing my experience, Carlos and your team. We will be back just for one more glass of wine with you :)

Excellent food and service I had wild mushroom & caramelized onion lasagna and it was heavenly. My husband enjoyed his pork ribs. Our wine was outstanding. Great place right in La Fortuna. Definitely on the higher end, but food matches he price point pretty well.

They sell really good hamburgers. It takes some time to get them prepared but it's worth waiting. Staffs are very neat.

Visited only once, but I am glad we did! Dinner was amazing. We ordered Grandma's honey chicken and the Shrimp tagliatelle - we enjoyed both dishes very much! Very friendly personnel, spoke perfect English.

HANDS DOWN the best food we had on our 10 day trip in Costa Rica. We ate here 3 or 4 different times and literally everything was amazing. One of the biggest surprises was the cauliflower steak (were not vegetarians) no words for how delicious it was. We ordered the pita and hummus a couple different times. The risotto was to die for. My husband loved the shrimp. You can't go wrong. Totally worth the price. Everything is fresh and well thought. Oh! The basil martini was on point!

This was by far our favorite restaurant in Costa Rica! We were only in the area for 3 days and we ate at Don Rufino twice because it was so good. They customized a pasta dish for my daughter that she gobbled up and ordered again the next day. If we lived nearby we would eat here all the time!

Only visited the once, whilst travelling around Costa Rica and I'm so glad we did! We both took the steak, which was fantastic. We really appreciate the farm to fork ethos many Costa Rican restaurants are taking, ensuring that ingredients are sourced locally and ethically where at all possible. The food presentation was second to none, and portion sizes were just right. I also really liked the fact that there were many vegetarian options available.

100% hands down the best food and service we had while visiting Costa Rica. So good, in fact, we are here 3 of the 4 nights we were here.

First night I had the risotto: AMAZING. My husband had the head on shrimp, and he talked about it to everyone back at our hotel. He also had the veggie side and the rosemary potatoes which were both also yummy.

Second night we split the NY steak (which wasn't our favorite), the empanadas appetizer which were ok but quite small, and the hummus plate which was again AMAZING!

Third night we had the burger, which hubby really liked but it had a sriracha tasting sauce on it that I wasn't a huge fan of, again we got the hummus because it was THAT good. This is where we had our FAVORITE dish: wait for it. the Cauiliflower steak. It's literally a grilled hunk of cauliflower on a bed of cous cous, but is one of most delicious things I have ever eaten. We were both blown away.

DEFINITELY recommend eating here. The staff are also very friendly, which we found difficult to find in Costa Rica.

Oh! I had like, 8 of their basil gin smash cocktails, SO GOOD! I didn't realize the hummus plate had fried basil in it, so it made my cocktail taste lets basil(y) lol.

A surprising find! The restaurant syrup local cuisine at a fair price. We had lunch one day just feeling multiple appetizers with excellent. I would also strongly recommend the crabs still on the menu. It's a full meal and tasted absolutely wishes! Service is very good. And waiters and waitresses spoke English.

Our best meal in 5 weeks in Costa Rica. Excellent all around. Staff, drinks, food. Wish we were here longer so we could eat here again and try more dishes. Generous portions. Carefully curated local ingredients, the short rib is from a farm less than 5 miles away.
