The rooms are big and well equipped. Unfortunately, we had to leave the first room because it smelled extremely bad air freshener. The windows can not be opened! Also in the corridors of the third floor was partly an unpleasant smell. The breakfast was satisfactory.
Nice building, great breakfast. But the place has some issues. Some of the rooms on the 1st (basement 117) have a very " musty " smell. Some of the rooms on the third floor (315 ) were right beside the highway so super loud. Bring ear plugs and nose plugs.
We stayed here only one night. The best thing about this hotel was their breakfast. Absolutely loved it. Our room smelt a little of dirt or must or the combination of the 2. We bought an air freshener which only helped a little. The staff was friendly. The room was clean. Nothing specifically special about it but it worked for a night before a flight.
I think the hotel would be fine for a night before or after a vacation, but 3 nights while here on business is proving to be a bad fit. Trucks drive by just outside the hotel all night with engine braking, loud enough that I could easily hear it from the shower, never mind all night long while trying to stay asleep. If you're sedated, it's likely not a big deal. I wasn't unfortunately.
Good thing about this place is its location. Other than that the design is dated, our room was big, but dark. Breakfast not really fresh (especially fruit).
The staff seemed nice, but unfortunately they turned out to be very unprofessional.
We had (what we thought) confirmed with the reception that we will check out 2 nights earlier and were supposed to receive a full refund. At the check out we didn't get any money back or any confirmation that it will be returned. The manager wasn't available. I have wrote an email to the hotel but haven't received any answer.
On top of that one day when we've returned to our room the door was visibly open. When reported to the desk staff they said that probably the cleaners left it open and that that "happens sometimes". We weren't happy with that answer.
The staff ( all ) make the guests feel important, the breakfast is excellent; yet the property needs serious remodeling. The rooms though clean have broken receptacles, stained tubs, doors with safety locks that are missing parts. The noise from the street behind my room is noisy. The restaurant is very good. Yet the hotel needs serious reinvestment if it is to compete with Marriott and other chains. It seems as if Radisson Corporate is squeezing any penny they can make and don’t give a damn about reinvesting in the property as for me next time I am staying in a boutique hotel.
Excellent staff. Fantastic service and an all around feeling of being taken care of.
Very well priced for what you get. Decent food and desserts. Very good complimentary breakfast. Fantastic amenities for business and first class travellers, or anyone willing to splurge.
All of our needs were exceeded with our stay here. The rooms and building are dated and could use some maintenance, however the excellent experience we had here overall negated these issues entirely.
Huge hotel with large comfortable room and king sized bed but it's outdated. Breakfast was diverse and delicious. Location not the best if you want to walk to town. Front desk lady could smile a bit more and be friendly :)
Nice hotel, good value, nice breakfast. The bed is a select comfort which isn't all that great especially because you can feel the joint on a king bed.
Big rooms and comfy beds. Coffee and tea included on the room fee. Hotel staff very helpful. No SPA
Nice, big and clean hotel. Excellent service. Well trained and welcoming staff. Very beautiful and modern decor. Comfortable and big pool area with Jacuzzi. Very nice breakfast buffet! Would stay here again.
Staff is nice but seems super confused as to what they are doing. Te check in process is not that good if you arrive before check in time. They don’t know what to do with you so if you are on a morning flight into SJO and expect to check in. Good luckThe bartender at the lobby bar: Christian is the best person in the whole hotel! Super nice and hard working. The hotel gym is actually shared with the next door Golds Gym. That being said the positive part of that is full on athletic equipment. The negative side is that is open only until 9:30pm and during weekends that’s only 4pm the cook (chef) is really good. Hotel food in the restaurant and at breakfast was some of the best I had in Costa Rica. As for the rooms they are old. Very old. Clean but old with a stench of old!!! It’s just an old building. Wish the airport Marriott was right here. Also not enough free water. More free water needed! Security ? Seems ok but nothing special + they make you sign a waiver that if people steal stuff from your hotel or charge your credit card they are not liable for it lol.
Great customer service, awesome building, super clean, nice food and drinks. I got a really good experience. Thank U
Great hotel very clean and well kept and enjoyed the breakfast buffet Only downfall was the service at the front desk We had reserved our room and on arrival the lady at the front desk told us our room wasn't ready so we waited at the lobby for almost an hour before I went and asked and she said it was ready. I believe she simple just forgot us if I hadn't asked I wonder how long she would have us waiting.
Cuisine is perfect. Staff is very friendly. But room carpet not clean and some humidity
The toilet was broken, and they fixed it. After that, it broke again at 10 PM, and they didn't come until midnight. It wouldn't stop flushing, so it annoyed me a lot. I am tired of this!
Staff is very friendly, the breakfast is decent, the wifi is super efficient, the rooms are clean, the pool area is very pretty although in April the weather is still a little cold. We arrived on Easter Friday and everything in San Jose was closed. ( But it is understandable) . The hotel is about 30 minutes away from the San Jose airport . Overall it was a good experience.
Perhaps the facilities not as good as in Western Europe for a four star hotel, but staff was helpful and especially gym/pools were great and breakfast had some local dishes included.
Clean and feels like a Radisson even though your in a third world country. I give it a 3 star because I found the staff at the reception were OK. When checking in or asking for recommendations it was just basic. I guess I stayed at many smaller hotels before this and loved the human interaction, rather than feeling like a number.
Also, breakfast had alot of varieties; however, I didn't get to try it all as we had to rush to the airport. One recommendation could be to serve breakfast earlier as most of the people staying here are going to or from the airport.
The checkin was excellent! The lobby staff was very nice and helpful! The rooms were ok, basic, clean, not as updated as I would have liked.
Nice hotel with a great breakfast. The location is a little hard to find and you have to go through some sketchy streets to get there but as long as you have gps you'll be fine. Nice pool and hot tub and the bed was fantastic!
