We stayed here for 6 nights and loved every minute.
There are several very private houses in this community. We stayed in Casa Aracari, a two room modern bungalow. Situated on stilts on a jungle mountainside, it felt like a treehouse. Our balcony overlooked miles of jungle with a view all the way to the Pacific Ocean, perfect for watching amazing sunsets.
The kitchen has granite countertops, modern appliances, and anything you need to prepare meals. There are 2 large ceiling fans inside and one on the porch. The house also has air conditioning. There's a king bed and a large closet with welcome goodies such as plush bathrobes, a hammock, and a beach umbrella. The bathroom is small, but has an ample shower stall. There is also a shower outside on the deck. In addition, there is a "plunge pool" under the stilted house. It has jets, but no heater.
The location was outstanding. A short distance to several gorgeous beaches. Also, there are refreshing waterfalls right in the property. The staff was very helpful and kind. Just be advised that you need a 4x4 in order to get past the security gate. The gravel road gets very steep! If you don't have a 4x4, the staff can help you out though.response / report this review -

Stunning, serene housing with many opportunities for adventure.
Our stay at Casa Monos Locos was simply breathtaking. My friends and me are serious nature-lovers and we're just in complete awe with our stay. The beautiful two-story house with three individual bedrooms left no wish open. A pool to overlook the tropical rainforest, a huge sun deck which was perfect for our afternoon Yoga class, a BBQ area, a fully equipped kitchen and many common spaces to get together.
Casa Monos Locos is only a short walk to the amazing waterfall and river which was our main goal to explore. We had so much fun enjoying the beauty of nature, spotted toucans in the treetops and took a dip in the refreshing water pools.
To top it off - after our early morning nature hike we were served a delicious Costa Rican breakfast with fresh fruit and coffee.
We actually did not want to leave and still have more to explore on the Portasol Living grounds. Thank you David and Guillermo for your amazing hospitality.

Le personnel est très gentil et le déjeuner est très complet. Un bel endroit pour se baigner dans de l'eau naturel est présent sur le site. Pour un expérience dans la jungle, c'est l'endroit parfait. Par contre, la chambre est très humide et il faut absolument un 4x4 pour s'y rendre puisque le chemin est en très mauvais état.

Spectacular real adventure in the central pacific of Costa Rica. Amazing waterfall, great vacation rental opportunities really close to Manuel Antonio and Dominica. Hope to be back soon.
